Today, I was to play with the Treo 800wx. It's a little bigger than the Centro, buttons are more spaced apart on the QWERTY keyboard, Windows 6.1, WiFi, EvDO Rev.A, IRA port, with an IRA port. Did take pics, and will post later.

Hey Yean, quick question. Since you got to play with the 800wx and the Instinct, (Both RevA) were the speeds on the 800wx equivalent to the Instinct as you previously quoted?

Yean said:
It's Ev-DO Rev.A enabled. I'm still shocked on how fast the speed is.

which has a better browsing experience? can you tell the the likes and dislikes of both phones please?

Sorry to say but the Instinct is going to kill it this summer ... Only thing thats coming close is the Curve and (fingers crossed) the Diamond when it finally launches.

See, it's not really going to compete with the instinct, because the instinct isn't going to be a PDA. From what I've heard there's not going to be push email or syncing capabilities on the instinct, because as said it's not going to be a PDA. the 800 is going to be great, but i wish that they would release it with a new palm OS because that's what a lot of business around my area have, and the customers are getting quite sick of their 755s and 700s.

LiMo? is that linux mobile or somethin? and what about the countless programs that are out for the palm operating system? I want my light speed(yeah, a 520 MHz centro is badass)...ljp...noviremote...all the things that made me get palm in the first place. I hope the new palm os has compatibility, or ill stick to my rev0 centro

The Samsung Instinct had the faster data speed, hands down(processor). Keep in mind both phones I played with, are Beta phones.

I was endlessly impressed by the instinct.
My mother and sister have iPhones i found the instinct was much more usable. It was more responsive than my old Treo 755.

I was told it will have push email and right now it does Sync with outlook 2003 and earlier and they are working to get outlook 2007 compatibility out before launch (which I will have to have in order to leave my treo for this phone.)

I have seen/played with the new LiMo palm interface and I thought it was sluggish and overall I am not seeing anything innovative with the new OS. I know it is still beta, but I was not impressed. It left me with such a bad taste in my mouth I am going to switch to the first thinset device with a touch screen that syncs with Outlook 2007 and...

Hey I found out about this phone back in November, but didn't hear the full specs until last week, I leaked some stuff about the instinct earlier too on ppcgeeks, didn't think to worry until I read some news on i.n.c.

Again like i said i didnt want to put any of the good/dedicated/helpful posters on "blast" its just that it does cause conflict with "iComply" and "leading with integrity" ... unfortunately i have seen some very good reps get "dismissed" and would hate for the good posters that are being very helpful with the masses questions "leave".

The Instinct and everything that is going along with it is a very much safeguarded device. If you work for Sprint www.nowisgood.com is the resource tool that every customer should be directed to and even lets them sign up to be able to buy the phone BEFORE its general release to the public. (Again Sprint wants to leak what they want and when it does very usefull links get posted by very respected sites ... E...
