Take your phone to a repair store. Tell them you want the phone "cleaned" and checked for updates and you will pay the 15$ fee. The techs will take a look at it and when you pay you can add TEP. It can be added with a paid repair. The techs will then email a TEP Safe list email address so they wont take it off your account when the system recognizes you added it after 30 days. You should remind them to do this...trust me.
What model phone is it?

i don't think it's right to work around this.
could you go in for a surgery and then get it paid for by your health insurance that was added a month after surgery?
nope.
could you have a car accident without auto insurance and add it later?
nope.
Use your head. People who complain that their mobile company rips them off,...ripping their mobile provider off?
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black...

Sigh.... Sorry to see yet another idiot here on phonescoop. Work around?? Are you not bright enough to realize you can add TEP after a tech looks at your phone BECAUSE then the insurance company is assured that it doesnt have liquid damage or anything previously wrong with it?? You do realize that the rule about not having it added after 30 days is due to the fact that someone could damage it beyond repair or drop it in water and then add insurance? So then if a tech says its ok then thats when you can add TEP.. I wasnt telling anyone how to get around on the company. You are a retail Sprint employee where? Lol at you.
...
no, i'm a team lead.
i understand what you're saying and you know alot.
kudos to you.
i understand policy.
i just don't think it's right.

If he is a happy customer then all the better for Sprint. Customers with TEP have a much lower churn rate. Just the service and repair segment of Sprint would be a fortune 500 company if it were on its own with the revenue generated from service and repair. Least so ive heard from an S&R exec once.
