Sad customer experience story...

It is Saturday and I work in a corporate Sprint store in a smaller population city. A came in asking for a manager and I am the on-duty manager. She shows me papers that she has terminal cancer and only has 6 months maximum for her to live. 😢 Her phone was tured off due to non-payment and she explained this was due to her needing to pay her doctor's bills and she can make the payment next week. Well a collection company bought the balance already and is calling her every day and actually yelling at her to make the payment.

Let me just start off by saying I had no idea on how to help a customer in this situation. She was begging for an extension because she wanted to talk to her son her last few months who is in another state. This ma...

thats why i hate collections companies. i understand that it is their job to collect unpaid bills, but there needs to be a limit. i hate how they never want to hear anything other than "i'm going to pay the full balance now". we are all people and sometimes have extenuating circumstances that keep us from paying "non-essential" bills. at least you got her fixed up.

Not to sound like an ass but, If the custmomer's account was sold to a collection company how did you credit the account.

Your first statement implies that you could do nothing because her account has been sold. Now all of a sudden you credit something that is no longer apart of sprint? 😕

i guess acc was write off and he credited balance and acc svcs remove deposit and acc fee to reopem a wo acc with $250 of deposit.

I know this is a sad scene but if you are so compasive why didnt you pay her account with your own money... LOL well i mean ... you did the good but please do not tell where are you located or soon this small town will be populated with lots os deadly ill sprint customers
