ummmmm bullish!!

so you're tellin me that if i buy a new phone from someone other than sprint, i lose my upgrade discount from them (well i mean it gets extended). thats a load of crap.

so my phone broke/died a week ago. i call to see what i can do and this is what they fed to me. so i called retentions and complained and got a new phone and also got the real scoop on this. he told me that your wonderful new billing system doesnt work right and it changes the date but the reps are suppose to change it back to the correct date, but are too lazy to do so.

no wonder sprint loses soo many customers. do you jobs and treat ppl with some respect and courtesy and maybe they will stay with you company.

oh and, try making software that wo...

Actually we have updated our systems as of last year, you no longer will get your phone rebate eligiblity reset unless you actually get a discount on your phone (i.e.take advantage of the two year upgrade promo) You can do a phoen swap to a cold phone (i.e. no upgrade) and still keep the eligibility now. I do however know with our old system that there is still a work around, for this but we still honor it regardless. Call *2 on your phone to see if your in our new billing system that has corrected this error thoroughly. (Currently there are only about 2.4 million accounts still in the old system which will be migrated shortly) I hope this helps.

billing system still extends the credit on new system. reps have to change it back to what it should be. so dont be giving out false info. that is part of sprints problems, lie to every one on things. then customer has to fight to get the problem straightned out.which can take weeks since customer service gives the run around.

I am not lying, I have been with sprint for 3 years and I know for a fact that if the system doesnt reconize it do to regular phone swap, we honour the qualified upgrade. Please dont call me a liar unless you have your facts straight.

awesome. so once i do get the real answer from sprint, i still have employees lying to me about it. go DIAF swilki! yea its mean to say that, but dont lie to me when i know whats going on already.

so anyway another issue. the new phone i got from retentions was a red razr. had it for 1 week today and its already acting up. slower than piss to load menus and make calls. freaks out when i get a txt and wont stop vibrating til i open the txt. doesnt show calls made on list sometimes.

what can i do to get a phone that actually freaking works??

I am sorry to hear you are having such problems with your service. I have heard of alot of defects with the red razr. The best thing I can say is to call back and ask for retentions as it was a retentions offer and talk with them to see about getting an exchanged.

Seems to me that the guy just wants a phone that works, which is what someone in "Retention" promised him.

If he is on this forum, he should of noticed no one likes Motorola CDMA phones because of their lag in menu's. Luckily for this guy because Sprint has a awesome 30 day trial, he can go and sent the phone back to Sprint and get a different phone with the same retail price, like the Samsung M520 which acts up a whole lot less than the RAZR.

As far as your phone, it almost sounds like there might be liquid damage, open up the back door to see if that dot is white or red. This will be a big determining factor to what you will be able to do. -Drake

ESN swaps don't reset eligiblity. Because of our new billing system you can even do ESN swaps right from your account online, or stop in a store, or you could call into customer care, but that could get confusing. Just say when you call in "I need to do a ESN swap on my account with my own equipment that I have already purchased" or "I need to do a ESN swap for service and repair" if it was a replacment phone from repair.

umm...yea i work for vzw. i know my phones and i know razr's suck. when my last one broke i just wanted a new phone that would work. retentions was nice enough to give me a new phone. so i took what they were willing to give and didnt complain. the phone worked fine when i got it. now 1 week later its being ghey. i just want something that works so i can finish my contract and go elsewhere.

And has been incorrect for some time now. You spoke to an inept rep.

Tis a widely known thing. Most of the time it's easy for a rep to research the account to find the prior discount and know your true eligibility.

The thing is, though, if you come in with that attitude then they're just as likely to feign ignorance and refer you back to retentions.

There's no use in having an attitude about it when it's just a date in a computer.
