Ok, So I Got The Iphone As A Backup phone for my brother. When I was setting it up I wasn't paying attention and I accidently ported my sprint number over!!!! I DONT WANT TO CANCEL MY SPRINT ACCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really screwed up...... How can I fix this without them charging me the cancel fee! I really didn't mean to cancel.

Now if you dont know about the iphone, you dont do anything but buy it in the store, the rest happens on the computer.

Please Help!!!!!! Anyone!!! 😳 😳 😳

Call AT&T and have them cancel the port. Plain and simple.

Then you would want to contact Sprint and have it ported back, explain to whomever you speak with that you had it ported on accident. They should be understanding enough to port it back for you and reestablish your account. The only thing that I'm worried about is that your bill may have cycled already. But if this all transpired today then you're good.

.. if the Sprint bill would be printed out, for the ETF, just give us a call, so that Customer Care and/or Account Services will reverse the charges and port status.

and that's as far as i know. it there's a runaround or another way to handle the charges and/or port status, just ask us here (Yean ... are you there? 🙂 )

I had 2 customer care reps tell me because I was thinking of leaving sprint in the past, that the port is valid and that I would have to pay my bill + termination fee + another deposit and buy another phone then re-port my number

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

I worked winback and got issues like this all the time....

The issue with calling retentions is you will get put on a new contract MOST likely.

We consider this an Inadvertant Port and all you need to do is call Portability to escalate it and turnaround time is 3-5 business days.

You will get the ETF waived and back on the original contract with your number ported back.

This would be the job for Sprint's Account Services. I'd give you a number, but it's for Sprint employees. I'm going to pm you with a number to call.
