Dumbest thing that Sprint charges is....

Picture mail! You have to pay $5 dollars if you want to send and receive pictures. Plus KB charge. Ridiculous. Why dont they just include sending picture with a text plan like verizon and other companies. I have sprint service, this just bugs me. But wait if you want to send pictures and receive pictures without the KB charge you can go on a vision package for $15 which is even more ridiculous. Does anybody else see something wrong with this? JW.

obviously this was not an automatic or widely published change, ans I still have customers still getting charged for PCSData for picmail

could the fact that we are in an affiliate market and still use P2K trhough iPCS make a difference?

what im say is if you go on verizon website and look at their plan they have that includes unlimited text and picture mail ...it is the same cost as if a cust having sprint on a 39.99 and adds unlimited text for 15 and picturemail for 5 it comes out to be the same price has the plan that verizon has....on sprint it will be a lil cheaper cause now we have unlimted text for 10.00...that's what I was talking about..I didn't say there was an extra charge for pic mail other than 5.00...thank you

yeah i know...but you are a 3rd party rep...the plan just makes up for the humiliation...lol...j/k...but mine you actually don't have to work for sprint to get it...the common consumer can get it...but that is way unfair that i work for the call centers and go through alot more training and do alot more than the sprint reps and don't get a special plan like you guys...but i don't really need the minutes, i have used a max of 300 per month so i'm not worried about it...no offence to anyone with this message is meant...if you take offence to this then you take your job and life way to seriously...if you can't laugh at a simple joke then is life really worth living?

Ok because I think the original poster is very confused lets make this crystal clear.

with each carrier this is what you would pay for unlimited texting and unlimited picture mail.

AT&T----$20 a month but you do not get online storage of pictures.

Verizon----$20 a month

Sprint---$10 for unlimited text and $5 for unlimited picture plus online storage for a grand total of $15.

T-mobile- $15

So AT&T and VZW are 5 dollars more expensive for the same thing!

Ok the issue here is half of you say you have to pay per kb on top of paying 5.00 and the other half says no. WHen you send a picture is it the same as a text? DOes it come from my pool of 500 free text🙂

when you send a picture it is not the same thing as a text, it is a totally different feature with sprint, you send a picture mail, not a text message, and for the clarity, as of 06/01/2007 you do not get casual kb charges for the $5 pic mail pack, i work for the call centers for sprint and know what's going on, probably the same as the person names sprint_god, if not more...

Ok what about this question, I have a phone that was lost so I claims it out. I ended up finding it and tried to activate it on my line again but they said they couldn't because of a code. Can this code be removed?
...

Jan 24, 2008, 10:09 AM
the code you speak of is something they add to keep customers from fraudulently claiming phones that they "lost" then finding them again and activating them again or selling to someone else for them to activate. the correct procedure is to call the insurance company and return the phone to them. sure you can remove the code but then again i dont konw what goes on when they audit the system and find that ESN on an account when it was reported stolen and replaced. worst case senerio is they will charge full price of the phone to the customer who made a claim on it.
...

Jan 24, 2008, 7:21 PM
it actually isn't a code, it's more like a flag that is put on the electronic serial number(esn) and there is no way to remove it, once the ins company sees that it is put on an account they will charge that account $200 until you return that esn to the company, because once it is reported lost or stolen their policy states that if that happens then it becomes property of the ins company...so therefore you can't activate it

you can get this "code" removed, what you do is call retention and tell them that you found your lost phone and they will call the lost and stolen department and they will remove it for you....in most cases

If you put a claim on it and you want to reactivate it its gonna end up costing you $200 for an unreturned esn not to mention finding a dirty rep that knows how to use p2k
