Sprint Stock Question

By this is a serious post for those who actually have insight on Sprint stock, all you Verizon trolls and Sprint haters...piss off.

With Sprint's stock plummeting and the company floundering there are many people out there with Sprint stock and those thinking about buying because of how low it is. For those of you who know about stocks what would you recommend. Should those who hold Sprint stock sell while they have anything left to sell, or should they cross their fingers. Logic suggest that the stock is undervalued because Sprint has so many positive assets that no matter what happens Sprint won't disapear. The company has simply been mismanaged. Will Sprints stock go up or will it inconcievalbly even drop lower after 4Q are posted? If ...

Me personal I would buy. It is low and as you stated they won't go broke. If they do sell it will be higher then what their stock is most likely. However alltel really doesn't have stock as they will go private once the sale to the investors are completed. It will be rolled into their stock if I am not mistaken.

I'm hoping right now that its simply a overall lack in confidence that has Sprint stock trading so low. Interesting point with Alltel, I didn't think about them going private if a sale went through. What did you think about Sprint turning down the 5 billion dollar offer from the Korean outfit?

I think its great they turned it down. They don't need another company with that big of a stake in them. And I should have said the sale has gone through just waiting to complete. All stocks are down right now. Verizon is not that good along with a few others communication. Look at quest below 7.00 a share. Look at verizon, they choose LTE because of Vodafon not saying its a bad thing but its still at least 2 years out by then sprint will have wimax nationwide. And they will just be starting. If wimax does good verizon will be fighting back for customers that love data.

I also beleive the economy slowing overall with all the credit tightening has a lot to play into it. If you look across the board, many major retailers reported record low sales for this holiday season. If I would buy or sell I can't exactly say, but what I can say is that when Sprint and Nextel merged that stock price opened at $25 and is now about $13 that is almost a 50% decrease and like you said with all the positive assets (i.e. WIMAX, no other carrier has enough spectrum which is the greatest assest a wireless carrier can have to match that) that Sprint has I don't think it can get any lower.

I don't think anyone is able to buy Sprint let alone Alltel. Geez, after Sprint paying more for Nextel than what Alltel is worth. You also have to look at Sprint dropping (or the cable carriers dropping) from their joint venture (Pivot Wireless). The upcoming spectrum auction will also play. VZW won't pay a cent for Sprint becasuse #1: they already have the numbers and #2: the gov (FCC & DOJ) simply won't allow it...

It all went down hill when they purchased Nextel. I think all the analysts look at it that way, also. The problem I had, when they spun off Embarq (land-line services). A week later, Sprint's stock fell to like $18/share (now = 12/share) where Embarq raised over $40/share (now 47/share). What the heck?!?

unless another carrier comes up with a PTT solution close to or better then Qchat it will be the end all. PTT is in demand as that is why all the carriers tried to create their own and failed miserably.

Sprint does lack image but have everything they need to recover and thrive.

Wimax will be out for almost 2 years buy the time another 4G is out.

They already are known for their data.

And Vigin Mobile is just sprints prepaid as Boost is. Heilo is the only true MVNO. As amped was verizon but they failed miserably and verizon lost millions to them!

...that's why subscribers are jumping ship from Nextel.

Virgin Mobile USA is its own "publicly traded" company (VM). That would qualify as an MVNO in my book.

WiMax, Sprint should've kept a lid on it instead of ticking off the cable operators...

Ok first thing is first. This stock is currently in bad shape because of the company’s in ability to actually turn them around. Until that happens or if a buyer comes in then I am sure the stock will continue to trade sideways. Another potential situation that can push up the stock is good earnings and language by the management team that things are looking better, but it does not look like that will happen anytime soon. So many issues coming all at once. It is kind of like the mortgage companies they had a huge issue and still going through it but if they can pull through, they will be in great shape. I think the same thing will happen here. Everyone knows this company’s assets alone are worth more than the share price but the mar...

I would say another uniformed individual. But he is on "the network" so I will say brainwashed. Please dropped calls hardly. Its all a matter of location I believe. My family mostly have verizon in NJ due to a relative there works for them and they get allot of dropped calls. I thought it was verizon but I dropped a allot more with sprint them my one or two a month were I live. So it must have been the amount of people.

Why can't people stick to facts and not try and state their wireless carrier is the best like they own the company or get money for advertising and trying to convince people its true!

I live in an area that is not totally covered by sprint, ok i'll admit that Sprint possibly has the poorest of the three carriers up in my area. But when I can drop a call a day with DeathStar Wireless and drop a call every 2 months with Sprint, well I guess that tells me something doesn't it?

try 60 a month! 720 a year. ANd money was not the issue if you ever read my post. Once again a person that reads what he wants to. So I will repeat it. It was the point sprint changed it without any notice whatsoever took away my unl text and replaced it with umm nothing. I use over 2000 a month and if I didn't look which I don't 9 out of 10 times as I never have to worry about it as I had unl everything and plenty of min I would have had a huge bill 300 just on text with one phone. So get your facts straight but you won't as you can't get out of verizons a** enough to read a post right!

And I don't love sprint I have alltel and I thinks it just as good if not better. And hey credit you for dropped calls and since Jun I have had 3.

funny stuff you had ppl in the sprint forum who where willing to help you get it all put back on your account, but you had to deal with sprint lame ass cs for hours and ran away in a huff 🤣 funny stuff but yet you're still on the sprint forum full time defending their crappy customer care, to funny oh well enjoy altell hahaha

umm this post has to do with CS how? And no people on here could not help with my issue about the unl data I had on all my phones. Only the text option which sprint retention was going to do. It wasn't the money it was the principle that they would change my plan without even a notice. If I didn't pay my bill they should would take the time to send me a bill!

I pay about the same with alltel so it wsa NOT the money!

Oh and I paid 600 in ETF so you think it was the money still?

...what?!? Didn't Sprint spin off the land line into Embarq thinking that their wireless side can pay down debt and have a better return on investment? That was a great business decision.

Verizon = Triple play (data, wireless, landline)
ATT = Triple play
Sprint Nextel = we're working on it

Sprint Nextel did spin off their landline division which at that time had Dan Hesse as their president of the landline unit due to the fact it was one of the conditions for Sprint and Nextel to merge. Both companies were telecommunication ones with voice and data services. Sprint was the one with the landline unit which now is it's own corporation called Embarq. I don't believe ROI was a significant portion of the decision for the spin off.
