The first pictures of Sprint QChat compatible devices have surfaced along with a couple scanned pages of an accompanying document detailing the Nextel Direct Connect brand going forward.

The handsets are unique in that the DC button is internally lit, calling attention to the function intended as a method to promote the feature along with other proposed methods such as branding the back plates with the Nextel DirectConnect brand and an oversized arrow pointing to the button along with an icon on the homescreen.

The prototypes pictured have been confirmed to be Sanyo models and are currently in the late testing phase, keeping in line with prior projections for a first quarter launch.

the rest of the walkie talkie crowd are all porting to att/verizon. this is a waste of money for spirnt along with everything else they're doing.
