I'm Through With Sprint!

jrfdsf

Oct 13, 2007, 2:01 PM
I mean, c'mon! Where's all the free stuff? I thought Sprint was the Santa Claus carrier. I put in my request a month ago, and still nothing. Yep, that's it! I'm finished! Going with Verizon, because I know everything there will be soooo much better. I believe even the recorded messages you hear when you call CS will sound better. Yeah, I can't wait to port over so I will have someone new to call 20 times a month.

And btw, Sprint NEVER gets any cool phones! Their bling bling factor is way below the standard.

Feelin' kinda beleaguered there, jr? 😳

Not tryin' to be mean or anything, but it prolly will get worse before it gets better. The new CEO better be highly focused on fixing customer ...

Are you serious?

No provider will give you free stuff. There's a reason why you're able to get stuff for free with some providers i.e. the service stinks or they require agreements as well...

Focus more on paying your bill on time and you won't have to worry about calling 20x a month...

I should take your issue to the shop talk area and let the reps from other companies tear you apart.

It's a service. Pay for it.

Pay for it? Why would I want to do that? Haven't you ever heard "the best things in life are free"?

duh...that was dumb. When you agreed to the 2 year contract, you agree to the pricing, rates etc..dont whine and complain when it turns around to bite you in the ass. Not to be rude but thats how all companies are. Credit cards, mortgages, contracts...I think no one will be willing to give you free stuff unless you truly deserve it. But, thats just my opinion πŸ˜‰

Unfortunately, I'm still locked in with Sprint for that length of time. Also, there's that nasty "coverage" issue that keeps me here.

Oh well, a person can dream, can't they?

The more I head this, the more I think it's satire.

Do you REALLY believe you're entitled to get everything you want for free, jrfdsf? Are you REALLY that much of an idiot, or are you just pulling our leg?

yeah thats true. I dunno it depends, to be honest its common sense if you barge on the phone DEMANDING you get a phone for free, if your nice and curteous then imma go out of my way to help you out ya know? If the customer is being a jerk, im not gonna be doing the very best i can to help em out. If your nice, respect, and not being a sarcastic smartass helps gettin you good service. I know its our job, but you have to understand some of us have system ablities we cant do anything about. Because someone quoted you something, and THEN say they have to transfer you to the department to do so and turns out that that department cant honor what was told, theres going to be a few transfers to get you what you were promised. Good for you jrfdsf for making a decision that would help you. the only issue I have is if people are trying to get free stuff and donΓƒΒ’Γ’β€šΒ¬β„’t get it they become aggravated and I donΓƒΒ’Γ’β€šΒ¬β„’t think it is fair that the customer does it because that is one of the reasons why Sprint has an awful name in the first place. they give too much for free and credits and when they took a stand you and others leave. Oh well, at least you will be happier or better off, but I doubt Verizon will give you free stuff either. They donΓƒΒ’Γ’β€šΒ¬β„’t know how to actually unlock their restrictions on their devices and data plans. Good job for making yourself happier though.

If I were actually serious about all of this, I might consider them. AT&T is the only other carrier that has sufficient signal inside the building where I work.

Glad you noticed! 😁 With the exception of the iPhone, doesn't everyone on all of these forums complain their carrier lacks "cool" phones"?

The coolest phone to have is one that works best for you. I guess some folks are too picky. The first cellphone I ever owned was a Nokia 918. Not only was it big and bulky, it didn't even have voicemail, text messaging, or caller I.D.

Anything would beat it for "coolness".
