Embedded EVDO Rev A chipset and it provides data only. Standard EVDO plan is what you pay.

The OQO isn't a phn. It is a very small tablet pc with internet. You can get things like skype or some other kind of internet phn but I don't think it comes with that straight out of the box. It does come with Sketchbook Pro 2 though, a very good paint program.
