Sprint Credit Check

NooB1Kenobi

Hello!

I am thinking about switching from Sprint and leaving Verizon... The SERO deal is pulling me that way. Anyways my ex screwed my life and my credit up. So I was wondering when Sprint does the credit check and see my weak credit if they will make me put a deposit down and how long for. Also if they want this deposit then I may just tell them if they don't want me bad enough i'll just stick with Verizon. Would they make a consideration in that case?

Depending on how poor your credit score is, your deposit(if one is required) may range from $50 to $500. There isn't a way to know specifically how much of a deposit would be required until we run your information. Sprint doesn't waive or lower deposits to entice customer from other wireless carriers so if that's the case, stay with Verizon Wireless. Sprint's trying to balance out their prime customer base with their subprime(Account Limit Spending/ASL) ones and it sounds like you'd be a ASL customer anyway. Deposits are held for 12 consecutive months and provided you pay your bill on time each month, Sprint will issue you a credit for the amount of your deposit on the 13th month.

If a customer refuses to give us their SSN or doesn't have any credit wombough, the deposit is $150 with an ASL of $150. Even if a customer refuses to disclose their SSN, we do have ways of still pulling their credit score. NooB1Kenobi himself said he's credit was tanked because of his exwife so I'm almost 100% certain he'll come back with either $150 or $250. If NooB1Kenobi has a WO with us, not only will he have to pay off the WO balance, he will automatically come back with a deposit which is usually $250 depend on the WO amount. I just hope Sprint gets tighter on the credit criteria so subprime customers will reconsider chosing Sprint for their wireless services. Subprimes can't be relied upon for paying they accounts on time or at all ...

I hate the fact that we can do this. Honestly, if they don't have a social, I don't mind, but I hate the idea that we are giving people a free ride on their past WO's. How does that help the company as a whole?

BION, We do have a way of catching the majority of the people who try using all 1's or 0's for their SSN by things like name Name & DOB, name & current and previous addresses as well as a few other combinations. Sadly a few will slip through the cracks. Don't worry, Sprint is tightening the noose on ASL aka subprimers.

Well it wasn't my exwife it was my ex girlfriend.

Anyways I was with Sprint Years ago and left them for TMobile (Big mistake) Then I switched to Verizon cause my ex and most of my family is on Verizon. Well my ex is going to sprint cause she can't get a signal in college with Verizon and neither can others but those with Sprint can.
When with Sprint I paid all my bills on time.
I want to switch to Sprint so it don't hit my GF's minutes and the SERO plan is to much of an eye catcher.

What is this No Social Security number thing that was mentioned. I'm confused as to what I'd have to put down for a deposit sounds like $150.00 plus $150.00...... Any more info would be appreciated.

By the way I'm not looking to be a pain in the rear...

not paying your credit card bill doesnt effect your credit score. It only will if it actually gets a collection account opened on it, which I've never heard of happening, but I assume it could.

Hey check out what I said about why I want to switch to Sprint.

1. My Girlfriend is switching to Sprint cause Sprint phones( including the ones Verizon has in their own network) get's better reception than Verizon phones get in her College.
I find that hard to believe but I guess it's true.

2. Those SERO plans look down right sexy.

So reason for wanting to switch is obvious.
1. Saving her minutes and my minutes by being with the same carrier.
2. SERO plans are the best.

Are you kidding me not paying your credit card bill doesn't affect your score? It only accounts for 35% of your score!! Do you mean not paying your sprint bill? Then yes your right until it goes to collections and they report it or sprint does as they have been known to do!

Well everyone thanks for your help!
I decided to get a direct answer and just call.
They took all my info did a credit check.
I can have up to 3 lines of service with no deposit. I was also giving a number to give when i call again so they don't have to run a credit check.

If you are talking to me then learn to read and take comprehension classes before being a jerk.

I left Sprint years ago when they were way over priced compared to another provider.
When I left I had no outstanding balance and paid all my bills on time. So go take your obsession with WO's else where.
All you are doing is running your mouth about something you have no clue about.
In order for ones as to be cut off they first must have service. Common sense tells you that.
Also I've had Sprint run a credit check with all my info and I am able to have up to 3 lines with no deposit. (If you read anything I said you'd know that)
May God work miracles for you.

I read your previous thread responses. I have also had people who claimed to never had Sprint or Nextel service mysteriously pop up with WO account which turned out they signed up service for a relative/friend/bed buddy years ago. I've also seen where people who had WOs slip through one of our billing systems but not the other. I hope for your sake you don't screw Sprint over because if you do, I hope they put your balls in a vice and squeeze them until your eyes pop out of your head. 😎

Well my first phone for Sprint was back in 1998. It was some fat Sony phone. Then I had a Sanyo phone which was the best Sprint phone I had of the 4. My mom had used my Sanyo for a few years up until the battery started to show some decrease in use time within the last few months she used it. Then I got the Motorola StarTAC as my next to last phone that I had until I left sprint ( I found that phone and turned it on and to my surprise years later it still had juice.) Then the phone after was a Samsung with the flip that covered the keypad.

Then there was my short yet still to long miserable time with T-Mobile. I had 2 different samsung phones with them. Best thing I could say about GSM is the battery life. Sure couldn't get a signal in m...

Muziq is a great phone. Second gen. so kinks are mostly taken care of, plus the fm transmitter is just too cool. If you're looking for a Sanyo, M1 is the way to go (unless S1 comes out). I like mine a lot. Hope this helps!

I only have one thing to say. Sprint was cheaper years ago. They gave you free internet on most plans and it included unlimited text messages. SO I am not sure what you are talking about for that part. The other part who really cares anymore!

Well at the time early 2000's way back in the day. I left them for T-Mobile somewhere in the time frame of them becoming T-Mobile. Due to the fact T-Mobile was cheaper and had earlier night hours. I would have to dig in my file but I want to say it was around $7-$10 cheaper. That and the phones Sprint had at the time were just hidous. But I would say I was with Sprint for 4 years. Then with T-Mobile for 2 years or so. Now I've been with Verizon for almost 2 years. Now I'll be going back to Sprint when my Fiance switches to Sprint.
(I still don't buy the crap about Sprint users get a signal in the college than Verizon users even if they have the same phone).

WHAT????

And yes I am talking about early 2000. And sorry 7 to 10 a month is not worth me to switch a carrier. Maybe 20 to 30 yes. 10 or under no. And as I say you get what you pay for! Well I say it someone else made it up but its so true!

Your write off must be a while back. According to Sprints system, if you have been written off, you owe the collection agency, not Sprint. You need to run with it.
...

Aug 19, 2007, 9:30 PM
while that is true that it has been bought by the collection agency sprint will be more then happy to take the money you owe as you still do owe them. If you pay them directly then they don't have to pay the collection agency anything because they did not collect the debt!

The original creditor keeps the write off. The collection agency takes the debt so when they collect they get paid. This is general as some do it different. However only the original creditor can basically legally harass you. So that is why most keep it in house anymore!
