Sprint vs Verizon

I'm currently using verizon and ported to ATT for the iphone, yikes what a mistake. I don't know if its just a GSM thing or what but the call clarity was horrible.

Anyways I still want to get away from verizon I dislike their verizon ui because it sucks all the fun out of getting a new phone. I want a multimedia phone with the ability to get online and I'm considering the katana dlx. I really don't know much about sprint could someone give me none kookaid breakdown I would greatly appreciate it. All you get on the verizon forum our kookaid responses.

Also will the 15 vision package work with the dlx, and what will the 15 bucks buy?

I'm seeing a lot of bad press about sprint recently too, including this forum, should I be worried?

the basic 15 dollar power vision package will work but if you are looking for a multimedia package then i would recommend the 20 dollar tv package. as long as you dont use more than half of your anytime minutes roaming you will have no problems and being that you live in the seattle area i think you will be just fine. if you do choose sprint be sure to inquire about the monthly discounts we have to offer for various places of employment.

Platypus,
If your considering Sprint, I'd recommend trying the service. You do have 30 days to try the network. If you're wanting to port your number, you can port your number to Sprints SERO plans.

Check out Sprint's SERO plans: http://www.sprint.com/sero . GREAT plans. I know it does require a sprint employees email address, but you can head to your local corporate store, pick up a business card (that should have their email address) and type in the SERO site. If not, go to Sprint.com and look in the news letters, sometimes you'll find a email address from a corp rep.

Sprint does get a bad rep fro poor customer service. I do believe Sprint is changing for the better.

I don't know why they have to call customer care so many ti...

EXACTLY..!Sero plans are AWESOME. 500 minutes for $30 a month with unlimited web/data access with mobile to mobile, nationwide lond distance, and a few extra goodies like nights and weekends at 7. About the email address thing like Yean said, just go to Sprint.com/SERO and when it asks you for an e-mail address just punch in savings@sprint.com
you'll get employee flat rate pricing on the phones and the plans are also at a discounted price 🤤

Thanks moe777. I like to pride myself on patience, customer service and knowledge. These 3 things have helped me very well with Sprint. I've even made some friends along the way.
If I can boast for a moment, I've been mentioned twice on two different morning, radio stations for my customer service. I feel I'm a people person, and can read MOST (not all) people, and now how and when to re-act to most customers.
I can have the most irate customer in my store yelling at me, and can change their tone and re-action.
I treat all occupation as if I own the business, and treat my clients as if they were friends or family.
I know some people will dis-agree with friendship and business, but it's work GREAT for me.

I do believe there's family SERO. I don't believe you should have any issues with Sprint. A lot of people may have issues with Sprint due to unexplained billing and set expectations. I have already set the expectation. Who wants to get an unexpected and unexplained bill? Try Sprint out and you'll notice how great the network is. I encourage you to try Sprint. If you do get Sprint, shoot me an email and I'll hook you up with some urls for free music, tv shows, apps, movies, etc. There is SO much you can do with Sprint. Fyi, I'm posting this response by my non pda phond, thanks to Opera.

That's not a problem. I would suggest going into a corporate store to have your number ported if and when you decide to. It's really easy for us, just a few mouse clicks, to port the number in over a temporary number. Just make sure you bring a copy of your current provider's bill with you when you want to do it. You can also have customer service do it but I can't guarantee you won't have to wait on hold.

Got it so if i decide to do just call up get two new numbers, wait for the phones test out the service then when I'm ready to port head to the corp store. Now I just need that Kantana DLX to be released that phone looks off the chain.

I hope the service is better then ATT, cuz they really suck and so did the iphone.

I'm currently a Sprint customer interested in new phones & the SERO plans. Can I port existing Sprint numbers in a store after temporary numbers are assigned?

Hey JUNGLEMASSIVE, could you automatically port either thru customer care or in person at a Sprint store even if the port is in progress?

No, if the port is already in progess we must wait for it to run it's course. I can't speak for care, but I would assume it is the same.

I've been using Sprint for 2 years. I'm using an old Samsung i500. I pay I think 5 more dollars a month for free roaming and, trust me, I get that my 5 dollars a month worth. I travel on business almost constantly so I may roam for 4 or 5 days straight if I'm working in a rural area. It kills the battery but at least I can make and receive calls. Overall I'm satisfied, it seems like coverage has improved substantially over the past year but maybe its just me. I am likely going to switch to Verizon if they would ever release the Samsung i760.

Also as much as people gripe about Sprint customer service, I've had mostly positive experiences. I did get one rep with a thick indian accent that I simply could not communicate with. That was frustr...

He hasnt cause he stole that line from knowing this is Ford country and on a quiet night you can hear his Chevy rust. Its so rusty, his roof fell off and now his Sprint phone can actually stay connected for an extra minute before dropping the call.
