With the Windows Mobile phones available on sprint you can not send picture messages. Anyone hear anything about this possibly changing with the new windows mobile devices coming up, 6800 possibly?

you can do picture mail with the 6700 and the 700wx, with a cab file fix.. just search google for 'treo 700wx mms sprint fix', I've used it and it works great.

the fix works better. gives your more features, such as adding voice notes.

and it won't 'brick' your phone.... piss off tech support they usually don't know how to turn on your phone. so who gives a flying f

You an I have always gotten along, but if you even imply that I dont know any specific thing that applies to tech, I will find your number and hose your acct so bad it will never get fixed.

So I certainly hope you weren't referencing me.

Peace.

I did not say it WOULD brick the phone, only that it could. Any time you mess with cab files, even when I do, it has the potential to brick it. Not trying to start an argument, so I wanted to clear that up.

no not at all. notice I said most techs. mt, I am not raycarrol. you post useful info and from what I can gather are one of the few sprint employees that truly take an effort to perform their job well. my comment stems from the techs I call about serious issues and they tell me to update the prl and call back in 3 days. sprints tech department at some of the call centers lack. being a former sales rep for sprint and calling them with more frequency than a regular user. but again I don't take well to idle threats, you touch my account your rep I'd will be all over it. is it worth getting fired over a forum.

peace.

im glad we understand eachother.

as an aside,

as a tech, i have access to all sprint customers' network settings, which are within programs that log no IDs. and i REALLY know how to use them. i therefore have free reign over anyone who upsets me over the phone, or otherwise.

so if you have any enemies, and they have sprint phones, let me know.

Why is it people do not read the forum thread correctly and address the question at hand? He asked about future wireless devices running the Windows Mobile OS NOT current ones as you mentioned. No, you're definitely not me. As Connor McCloud from the movie The Highlander stated after taking The Kurgan's head, "There can be only one."
Atlp99, I'd like to think the PPC-6880 would be capable of Sprint Picture Mail provided the firmware will support it.

no. ray once again you post something meaningless and useless. Please help prevent anti ray posts by just not posting.

Okay so he stated current devices with Win Mob. can't do MMS. That is a wrong assumption, they most certainly can, and if the current ones can so will the future Winblows Mobile devices as well, god bless and please return to the nickelodeon.com forum.

Thank you Lynchburg,
That is exactly what I was looking for. If there is a fix like that for current phones then I'm not too worried about future ones.

I am trying to find a phone that I can use for everything. I would like to stay with sprint.

I need good call quality, email and web access, and a good planner/ calender that I can sync to my laptop.

The Q fit my needs well except for the inconsistent data connection. I had no problems otherwise.

I am looking at the upcoming treo 755 but am wary of getting the palm version, as it seems that palm is heading for the end of its OS,
so i was thinking about a 755 w, or the 6800.
I like the slimness of the Q and dont need the increased capabilities of ppc over smartphone, but could d...
