I guess Palm doesn't get it. Thin is in. Palm's form factor is old and tired. I have a 700p and am waiting for something better. I hear the BB 8800 is coming to Sprint later this year. I've held the Cingular version and its pretty sweet.

agree with whodey going from a treo to a blackberry will be a pain in the ass...you wont realize how much you need touchscreen untill you dont have it. Had a friend that switched from 650 to moto q and couldnt take it. a scroll just isnt a mouse.

Went from BB 7130e to Treo 700wx 2 weeks ago and not looking back at all!

The push email was nice, but you get so much more on the Treo. It's obviously a phone first, which the BB just is not.

and obiously you havent explored the treo enough to know you can certainly get Email pushed to you.

lol.. theres NO reason to own a BB unless your company has a contract and utilizes BES

Actually, I do know that, but can't get it for free like I did on my Blackberry employee plan. 😎

i agree with everyone on this, bb is a huge pain in the ass and not worth the forty dollar data plan, when you can get a simple fifteen or twenty dollar plan and it works just as good. as an owner of a 700p i would never want a differant smart phone. bb's are a waste of money.

i love it when people come on here and start to bash BB because they have no idea how they work. Let me do some clarifying. BB just work. thats the best thing about them, i do not waste by battery by having my email pushed to me, and my phone does not do wierd things and have to be reset every day or every other day. If you like losing a call or an app running while working on your pda, then enjoy your treo, but for people who want a solid device, use a BB. Ask Humdizzle, he ditched the treo to go back to BB.

The 7130e is not a good example of a good BB. I tried one too before the 700p and it is a POS. Sure type is horrible and it doesn't do HTML on its browser. I have seen the 8800 BB on Cingular and its much better. Full QWERTY keyboard and a track ball. I do agree the BB data plan cost blows, but the device itself is great. I would get one just for the fact that Sprint's selection of smart phone sucks and I refuse to use Win mobile.

From what I have read the CDMA version of the BB 8800 is coming out later this year. So I can only imagine Verizon as well as Sprint will be getting it.

Yes it is, but sprint will have an exlusive contract for a while like the 700wx, like verizon had with the 700w and 700p

I've been following the 755 news pretty closely, thanks to rumor websites and some friends at palm. This is not gonna be a real improvement to the 700p. you lose size, and two of the programmable menu buttons. which isn't worth it to me. trade a lil functionality for cosmetics, i'll keep my 700p

Thats y palm's being sold their marketing/production team needs to be fired. i would say 80% of the treo market are previous treo users. Now the majority of us upgraded from the 650 to the 700p. Ergo the previous 650 market created the demand for the 700p market. Now i havent met a single 700p person willing to upgrade to the 755p phone. So who will actually buy the 755p???? the straglers that kept on to their 650 in the firstplace? but then again their straglers so y would they upgrade now? Palm's going down.
