Troubleshooting Treo 700 w

catch22pla

Mar 20, 2007, 9:19 AM
I'm having problems with the time functionality and the bluetooth on my treo 700 windows version. Since the daylight savings change, my phone switches the time on me every time I make a phone call. I don't know if I am missing a setting or what the deal is. Any help would be appreciated. Also my bluetooth is acting up as well. Every once in a while, my headset will not be able to find the device. I'm hoping this isn't a defective phone so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time.

have you seriously not opened internet explorer in the last week and a half?

there WAS a link put on the homepage to download the DST fix. since it has been taken down recently, open internet explorer, and type in microsoft.com/windowsmobile.

on that page will be....

THATS RIGHT, THE DST FIX!!!

sorry for the sarcasam, it just amazes me that half of my calls are still about this.

as for the BT problem, it is an RF technology, its not perfect. perhaps yours is a little weak. a little weak is better than some people have to deal with, so if its not too bad, i would just roll with it.

I tried this through the computer when I had it syncing and the problem still exists. Is this something that I have to do right on the phone?

mobile_trojan answered your time question but for the bluetooth issue have you tried deleting your headset from the device list and re-pairing it? I have done that when having bluetooth issues and it seems to help most of the time.

as far as the headset goes, just buy the treo BT.....i've seen problems with treo's and other manufacturers BT's for a long time now, but I have a friend who bought the Treo brand BT off the Palm website, says he has no problems whatsoever with it. You may want to try the Jabra JX10, I hear great things about the BT, but it's quite pricey!
