6 Confessions Of A Former Sprint Sales Rep

Sprint has joined the ranks of cell phone providers whose former (and current) sales reps are beating down the Consumerist's door, eager to tell all. Let us move without delay to the confessions of a former Sprint sales rep:

ӢGet the Sprint Employee Referral Offer: "Get on the SERO plan! Sprint Employee Referral Offer. It's a nice little plan designed specifically for friends and family of Sprint employees. They require that you have an email address of a Sprint employee, but that's simple to get. Remember that business card the sales rep gave you, or should have given you if they're...

Everything is true except for the employee discount. We require a company e-mail address that will be verified, a photo name badge, or recent paystub, and there's a form to be filled out. You can't just call and say you work for a company and expect the discount.

Funny, I was able to call it in w/ no proof, and they added my discount... We'll see if it actually goes through tho....

On the other side, the guy didn't verify my account password 'till the end. He almost forgot 😛

Still, I went through 2 reps, both added it, no problem, no verification.

Oh but you can when you call customer care. Those requirements are only for those of us who work in retail.

saw this post, thought id make a few comments and corrections, since this may be passed onto Sprint customers, figured the info in here should be as accurate as possible. here goes:

SERO: rocks. but (same as all good things), if people keep abusing this, Sprint is gonna tighten the reigns on it. if youre gonna get this, get it while it lasts.

Faking ESRP: while this scheme does sound possible, its quite shady. while it may not necessarily be a 'breaking' of the rules, its definitely an EXTREME bending. if you broke your phone, just buy a new one. if you have TEP, you'll only have to pay $50, which is probly how much oud pay for a busted phone on eBay. pls, you wont have to:
A- mess with the long, drawn-out process invloved with "f...

Why is it people can't read the T&Cs of a particular promotion BEFORE asking questions?

The SERO(Sprint Employee Referral Offer) plans are only for NEW lines of service and NOT for current customers who wish to convert their existing service to one. If you having existing Sprint service and add an additional line to your account, the NEW line can be set up on a SERO plan.

"ӢPlay the Extended Service and Repair Program Game: If you've lost your phone or dropped it in water, you can buy a new "broken" phone on ebay, activate it, and take that one into the store for ESRP benefits, according to our tipster. "Phone doesn't work? Water damage? What are you to do! Buy a phone on ebay, it doesn't have to work so long as it hasn't been flagged as lost or stolen. Get the phone activated and take it into the store. They'll fix or replace it usually on the spot because you have ESRP. Now keep in mind, if you do this

Any wise guy who double posts the Terms and Conditions of SERO plans to prove a point...hem hem raycarroll70, is wasting their time. Next time just read and keep your unncessary posts to yourself. I am a current Sprint customer and the Cust Service rep gladly changed my plan to a SERO plan in like 2 mins. I didn't even need an email address for an employee or whatever the Terms and Conditions were. They are basura!!!!!
