GSM network, higher cost, slower speed, crappier customer service, patchy network, data plan alot higher, etc.

Address each one of your points. GSM netowrk gives a lot of flexibility. Higher cost not more than sprint per month in fact most people on sprint pay more for their service. Slower speed Cingular is faster than sprint in UMTS/HSDPA areas and most major markets are UMTS/HSDPA. Cingular's coverage is a lot less patchy than Sprint really check the coverage maps. Crappy cusotmer service well the only company ranked lower in cusotmer care than Cingular by JD power is Sprint. Sprint does offer cheaper data plans but they have a lot of issues with their service. People need to check facts not commercial's. Try Cingular and then try Sprint both have trial period take advantage.

if you want facts, then compare coverage maps for yourself, specifically checking for coverage in the areas YOU are going to be in (a massive footprint means NOTHING to an individual if the coverage doesnt reach the city/state they use thier phone in). also, check the phones that are offered by both competitors, and (based on what YOU use your phone for) determine which carrier offeres the better handset for you. and lastly, analyze prices for plans. get an average of your minute useage for the last, say, 6 months, and compare minute plans from both carriers.

if your looking for objective approach to this, follow the above instructions...

but honestly, if youre asking in here, youre just gonna get the normal forum BS. its HIGHLY doubtf...
