counts for nothing with sprint? I've been a customer ever since inception here in Chicago, started off with a indirect dealer plan:$10 for 250 mins, 500 N&W and later moved up to a regular plan after the company I worked for went out of business. I recently broke my phone and I had insurance on the handset. I took it to a Sprint store and was told it can be fixed at another dealer location. I got there and was told that my phone couldn't be fixed and I was offered either a Samsung M500 or the A640. I opted for the A640 because I use Vision and have a grandfathered plan with unlimited text messaging so I didn't want to have to upgrade to power vision.
The A640 didn't live up to my expectations and I went back to the store to get the M500 ...

You should go with the m500. Thats what I carry right now and have no complaints. Definitely a better phone than the 640 and 350 combined.

😳 There is some quality salesmanship! Yeah! Lets bash the competitor with no basis for our claims. Yeah, thats how us verizon tools do it!

another problem that may not have been completely resolved but at least made easier by doing a little research first sprint.com has a lot of valuable resources

Since the rest of posts on this subject has failed to really answer your question, I will give it a shot. In my opinion you should of gone with the M500. It has more features and it sounds like you would benefit from the extra memory it has. In all honestly I would have to say that the Sprint store you went to went above and beyond to even offer you the M500 which is a huge upgrade to the LG 350. Offers like that are generally one time offers as they violate Sprints policy of replacing phones that can't be fixed or replaced with a similiar model, the a640 being a similiar model. Once you made your choice and the exchange was made it becomes final. You can hardly blame the store mgr for not wanting to violate Sprint policy again just because ...

wilocrek, come on! I agree that the M500 was a better choice than the A640 but I chose the latte because I'm grandfathered on the vision plan and I get unlimited texts; why pay more for power vision when I really don't need it and I had 30 days to try out the A640 and after a week of sub par performance from the A640 I went back to switch to the M500 but what pissed me off was the manager's "standoffish" attitude, he came at me like I was some jerk! I waited an hour to talk to this guy and I didn't raise my voice once. I called customer service before going into the store and was told I'd have to go back there since that's where I got the phone from.
To cut a long story short, I've ported to another carrier with far better options suited ...

Good luck getting the same exceptions made with your new mystery carrier. YOU passed up a GREAT deal, don't be mad at Sprint.

just give your new carrier some time and who is it anyways

1. You stated that your service was done at a dealer location. This is not a SPRINT owned location.
2. If you were not satisfied with how this situation was handled, you should have asked to speak with his/her manager or Sprint Representative or Called Customer service to see if they were able to assist you. 9 times out of 10 they do.
3. I will be honest with you.... When I have a customer who has an issue and they are nice and calm and will explain to me rationally what the problem is, I will do everything that I possibly can to assist them to get it resolved.
But as soon as they start acting like jerks, I shut down. I have no desire to help you at all. It amazes me the lack of character and disrespect that I see from customers on...
