They told me that the Red V3m RAZR's bluetooth is locked by Motorola, not Sprint (that is, locked concering sending pics, vids, whatever). Yet I played with an Alltel V3m & just bought an Ampd V3m and NEITHER are bluetooth locked. Supwidat?! ๐Ÿคจ

im sorry if they lied. yes the sprint user interface locks SOME BT features, but as a general rule, it is much more capable than the VZW phones.

Dude, the Verizon razr is worse, its only god for the headset. At least with Sprint's razr you can send pics to a bt printer, send contacts to another phone, send data and pics and vids to a computer. They just made it so we can't send ringers to other phones. They are a business and are protecting their assets.

Because if that is an essential feature for your wireless device, then you are a tool. If you were making a joke, I laughed my ass off.

It's a Fusic that does everything I want it to do well. But that is besides the point. If you really need to bluetooth ringtones or "die", then you are a tool.

Why shouldn't you or anyone else pay for a ringtone? It's a service.

There ya go, nobody will "die" without bluetoothing ringers. There are other ways to get around paying someone for the art they created... Once again, to demand that your phone be able to bluetooth ringtones makes you a tool.

They are a business and are protecting their assets.

Which business is that? Wireless carrier or content provider?

This is yet another example of the conflicts of interest companies like Sprint are encountering.

Introducing limitations into technology solely to expand profit margins does not spur technology or development.

I don't believe it's only to expand profits. It costs money to provide content, and when people start ripping it off, it impacts their business. I would compare it to not being able to take outside food into a movie theatre or restaurant.
