Has anyone heard the rumor that Sanyo is coming out with an upgraded versionof the Katana? If so what have you heard? Im in the Los Angeles area and would love to see an upgrade- great phone. Thanks all!!!!

All I know for sure is it's slated for a June launch. But, my Sanyo rep either honestly knew nothing about it, or was not letting on if he did.

Thank you, that is also encouraging. Im currently with Verizon and just waiting for my contract to end in May. I would like to see an upgrade to the Katana since I like the style of the phone but it is sub par in certain areas i.e. camera. June will be a good month to switch if it actually launches. Thanks for your input!!!!

That's a white Katana. Not available in retail stores. Only through telesales.

as for the Katana 2, I have heard about it. but nothing on it.
one can only speculate what features it will add, my guess is 1.3mp camera, memory card slot and video recording.
i doubt that it will have a media player and ev-do, since the katana was brought in as a low to mid-range phone with a higher end LOOK.

279.99 is about 80 bucks too high for that phone... hell the M500 is only 229.99 right now.

i agree, i always wind up pushing the customer toward the m500 or the razr 🤨 only time i push the katana is when the customer refuses to change their features (the ones you lose when you upgrade to an ev-do phone)

believe you me, i feel evil for selling one every time, but there is a moto contest going on that i wanna win (i want a free xbox 360 😁 ) and you do have to admit that side by side, the razr is a better phone feature wise than the katana. personally i would rather sell the m500)
