sanyo S1

I was debating between the Samsung M220 and the Sanyo S1 recently, for a phone upgrade. I'm just looking for a basic phone, no internet or even texting needed, and I was interested in getting a 'bar' type phone instead of the flip style.
As of yesteday, the Sanyo S1 disappeared from Sprint's website.
I guess this means they are discontinuim=ng it. does anybody know if there might be a similar replacement?

Blackberry Curve 8350i Feedback and Echo

My son is using the Curve 8350i and when people speak with him they hear their own voices echoing back to them a second or two later. Very annoying. He doesn't hear it at his end.

Has anyone here been told of this problem by people with whom they are speaking?

Does this phone have a audible repeating alert for missed messages, etc?
Or is the only type of repeating alert on this phone the LED?

Sprint, BlackBerry, MMS...maybe?

http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/rim-blackberry-c ... »

Here's a review I found on the new BB for Nextel (8350i). What caught my eye was the mention of having MMS enabled.
May be with the 4.6 update Sprint BB's will be MMS enabled.

Direct Connect Speed Dialing for V950

Most of us who have owned legacy iDEN DC phones have relished the "speed dial" feature for Direct Connect calls. Basically, it works by pressing only the last number of a fleet ID and the ptt button to quickly initiate conversations with others on your fleet.

Most of us probably thought the feature was lost on the new QChat phones since they use an email address instead of a fleet number. Good news! Now, not only can you choose to still do this as before, it doesn't matter whether the person is even on your fleet or not.

This is because DC numbers can be stored in speed dial slots instead of regular telephone numbers. Another trick that can be added to this feature is to use the speed dial slot for both DC and mobile numbers by progr...

A joke

First off sprint stinks because they have low level poor revune generating customers, not to mention too many plans that are difficult to understand. Second nextel or tmobile I don't which was the bigger joke. Nextel is a walkie talkie that requires monthly service and gets a slightly larger ptt area with worse service.

New Nextel Blackberry

i love Nextel and i use the I880 now and i have used the Ic902..Why did Sprint not make the new BB a Hybrid phone using sprint for Data.. i don't think Nextel internet is as fast. I will still get the the New Blackberry but wish it used both networks.

Dose anyone think they will come out with any New Hybrid phone i really like them and think it was a really good thing.

Question About Transferring MP3 Files From Computer to Phone

I have a Moto V950 and I recently tried to transfer MP3 files on my computer to my micro SD card.

The problem I'm having is that even though I put the files in the "music" folder of the media card, I must go through a series of menus under my file manager screen to access and play these files. In other words, I can't simply use the outside keys to pull up the play list, although once I get the files there, the control keys and player work fine.

Where am I going wrong? Is it essential to use a data cable and music transfer program to correctly do this, or is there a way to drag and drop from my computer directly to the card?

8350i

Is this a strictly WiDEN Black Berry and not a Powersource phone?
Hence, WiDEN for voice/data/PTT vs. CDMA for voice/data and WiDEN for PTT.

I know it has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
