Cingular Extending question

I just started Cingular service. My question is:

While using "Cingular Extending" is there any minutes being used on your monthly plan? I live in Milwaukee, but travel to Minneapolis for business/personal every month.

Thanks!

motomixer

Has anyone gotten this to work? I tried by the book and it keeps dumping me back to the motomixer screen. It will not let me edit or create ringtones. The store has tried other V400's and the same.

COVERAGE IN MORRISTOWN NJ

Just wondering if anyone could give me input on how Cingular coverage is in the Morristown NJ area. The map that Cingualr has looks like there is a no service area near it, but I would like to see what experience people who have been there or live there can tell me.

Thanks

Roaming Question

I was told that on the GSM national plan there is no roaming charges in the US,

where I live (Morrisotwn, NJ) Cingular has weak service and some dead zones, in which AT&T GSM (who I have now) has very good service and no dead spots (which is a prety recent thing)

my question is as followes; if I would be able to change networks on my new cingular phone (is it possible at all?) would I be able to use AT&T tower and not get charged Roaming.

Cingular or ATTWS for Atlanta?

I'm about to make the switch from Sprint PCS. I happy with Sprint's service, but their phones just don't get me excited. I'm now considering Cingular and AT&T Wireless. I'm really interested in the Nokia 6820 (if you have any thoughts on this phone, please share). It sounds like AT&T Wireless is going to offer it soon. This makes me lean towards them. However, I've heard so many bad things about this company. Should I just bite the bullet and choose a phone from Cingular? Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I'm looking for a fairly priced phone that has at least Bluetooth as one of it's features. My wife has the Sony Ericsson T610 from T-Mobile. I really like this phone. However, the Nokia 6820 has EDGE technology...

Verizon Wireless not #1 anymore. Or are they?

Well everyone has heard about Cingular and Att Ws merging to become the biggest cellular company in the US. But I want to clear up a few things. People may be informed. Cingular may have more customer than Verizon, but will their coverage area be bigger? Humm.. My answer is NO!!!!!!!!! Even though Cingular will be bigger than Verizon Wireless (customer wise and maybe revenue wise), Verizon Wireless will still hold there reputation of having the largest coverage area in America. True Cingular Wireless may have a bigger coverage area, but it just wont be big enough to to take Verizon's reputation. When people say largest, they mean in customers and revenues not coverage area. So all of you who want a company that will work in most places you w...

Cingular or ATTWS for new Monmouth Co NJ Service

I want to switch my wife's cell service over from VzW to either ATTWS or Cingular. Since the 2 companies are becoming one I'm wondering where would I be getting the best deal now for switching. In Monmounth Co. ATTWS service has always been lacking, they don't have enough cell towers and much of their service is shared over Cingular's lines. Cingular service on the other hand is much better, because Cingular limits the amount of bandwidth AT&T can have.

So considering they'll soon be one, would I get a better deal converting to ATTWS or Cingular? We're talking a $35-40 plan.
