Anyone here actually have Tracfone?

Tracfone is really expensive. And they need more advanced phones. It's really good for younger kids though. Just buy a card and have minutes. I personally just don't like it. Oh well. I just really wanted to post. Lol.

All you Tracfone haters

All you Tracfone haters can go climb a tree. Tracfone is great!

I have had a Sprint phone and contract for 20 months, which has dead spots all over the place. I carry a tracfone in my glove box for the times I have to make a call and Sprint has no signal, which if often. In 4 months, I'll ditch Sprint and just rely on tracfone.

Tracfone has no network or towers. They use the towers owned by Sprint, Verizon, Cingular and just about everyone else, so if there is a tower nearby, Tracfone can use it.

Verizon has the best signal of all the big boys, but Verizon's customer service is severely lacking.

Promotional codes arent adding correctly?

I add the promootional codes on the website while adding a new air time card where it sais to type in the promo code. I click continue, and then it sais it has added the extra bonus code to the 120 minute card, it sais 180 minutes added, but the phone only got 120 minutes. This happens all the time i have used different promo codes that work .

Mayb theres a different way to add promo codes? Isi t better to add it directly on the phone. how would i add the promo code on the phone?

tracfone sims annd unlocked phones.

i'm not really a big fan or prepaid phones but my mom gave me a v170 motorola tracfone for my birthday ๐Ÿ™„ . i was fine with it because i mostly use my phone to call and text anyway. ๐Ÿคจ tracfone and it's double minutes card really beats the other plans that other carriers offer. ๐Ÿ˜

so lately i've been thinking about getting a new phone. as we all know, tracfone's phones r kinda crappy. i've been looking at this nokia 7360 ๐Ÿ˜‰ unlocked phone and planned on getting it. right now, im kinda skeptical ๐Ÿ˜• after reading one of the forums that said tractfone isnt gsm or that it is like a neutered gsm. is that true? ๐Ÿ˜•

i'd like to ask if any one had used a tracfone sim in an unlocked phone.. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

TracFone Stuff

I had a TracFone for years, and had only one call dropped. As prepaid goes, it can be fairly cheap if you work it right, and the phones don't have bells and whistles, but they work. Customer service is pretty bad, I'll admit. My other experience is with Cingular and now AT&T. Customer service with them has been excellent. The phones have a lot of bells and whistles available, though I have more calls dropped now than I did with TracFone. In my area, my TracFone was CDMA and the Cingular/AT&T is GSM, of course. Maybe that is the reason. My younger son lives in an area of the state where GSM works poorly, as well. Once it's set up, a TracFone can be quite reliable, and relatively inexpensive. Just depends on what is important to you,...

Tracfone GSM unlocked Razr transfer from Nokia

I currently have a Nokia 2600 Tracfone and would like to get a Razr. Tracfone of course does not offer one. On eBay, Cellpoint tells me I can use their unlocked Razr and my Nokia GSM card and Tracfone won't know the difference.

My minutes and phone number will be on the Razr.

Has anyone done this? I would really like to get a Bluetooth Razr.

Thanks, Tracfone!

No really, I'm being serious. I bought a Motorola C139 to use as my "outdoor sports" phone so when I go kayaking, fishing, or working in the yard, I just forward the calls from my Verizon i730 and take the Trac. I was actually planning on buying a used G'zOne Type V but this is much more economical. $14.88 for a phone I can run over with my car for all I care. And a plus is that, even though the Gzone is water resistant, if you drop it overboard on the Chesapeake Bay, you're outta luck. If you loose/break/damage the C139 Tracfone just go to WalMart and get another!

So thanks, Tracfone. You are unfit for anything else other than trash phones! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

motorola c139 ringtone composer

I have a c139 and the ringtones are not the greatest. I cannot download ringtones because I do not have internet access. I must use the ringtone composer to make new ringtones. Any sites out there that have lists of songs so all I have to do is put them on my phone without getting a ringtone converter?

How does Tracfone stack up?

How does Tracfone stack up against Virgin Mobile for someone who only uses their phone for emergencies and a few conversations a month?

How long til you lose your number?

If I let my minutes expire, how long til I really lose my number? I know in the past, they "extend" it for you then several times they try to get you to renew, but I want to change the number. I'm in no hurry, as I have 2 other tracfones ๐Ÿ˜ But how long until I actually lose the number? Thanks!

Destiny

The sea was born in a blood covered cove. There were no witnesses nor survivors. The only thing present were the spirits of soul's lost. They wandered aimlessly in search of their destiny. What they found, was not expected. What they found was not of this earth, what they found would be the new beginning.

At first the wandering souls were dumbfounded. What lay before them created an aura of bad will, but they couldn't stay away. No matter how strong the forces pulled them in, they knew to hold they're ground. But they could not. Eventually they gave in. The power in front of them had drawn soul's from the world over. And no one was aware of the danger that lay ahead.

The spirits were rounded up and gathered in this cove. E...

Alert

I was watching Syriana last night (terrible movie btw) and witnessed something astounding.

In a scene where Clooney is in Beirut, he's at a table. On that table was:

A Nokia 1100!!!!!

The Trac is now penetrating hollywood and Lebanon. Soon the world will belong to the TRAC

the commandments of Tracfone

1. thou shalt have no provider before me
2. thou shalt not bear false witness (don't fake the little static noise to get off a call with an annoying person)
3. thou shalt not kill other Tracfonians
4. thou shalt not steal units
5. thou shalt not covet thy neighbors features (mp3, 3g etc...)
6. thou shalt kick thyselves in the groin

that's it. 6 commandments for now. more to come as i see fit. thanks for waiting around for me, i need to go get my drink on now though.

clarification

while many scientists are looking into the origins of tracfone and many economists are analyzing the global repercussions of it's far reaching effects, i alone have found an ancient tome, buried deep in the walls of the new river gorge in west virginia ( i was white water rafting). while preparing to jump off a 40 ft. rock i spotted a red clay pot protruding from the face of the cliff beside me. inside lay a book, leather bound and sealed with a wax label. i instantly recognized the emblem on the front as the "o" in tracfone. i took it home and read it intensely, and for the first time i will reveal it's teachings here, for your knowledge. it may be over time but i assure you, it is for your own protection. too much of this knowledge too fas...

How does Trac actually work?

So, I've been wondering for a while, how do payments work w/ TracFone? Can I go and buy my TF at Wal-Mart and then come back in whenever I need more minutes and pay w/ cash? Or do I have to have a credit card/checking account tied to the phone like you do w/ Cingular's GoPhone?

Tracfone evolves

Tracfone had an insert in the Sunday Daily News yesterday. It featured the insane Nokia 1100, and mentioned how the unit system works. This is a small step for Trac, but a giant leap for mankind.

"Movin' on up, to east side, we finally got a piece of the pie!"
