Motorola i776

This phone works great on Boost Mobile/Nextel!

The phone does what it's suppose too...it's not a smartphone...but it's a great one for making calls, direct connect and messaging...you can do some basic internet browsing...it's not a iphone or windows phone...

It has many more pros than cons...it's for basic communications...it's not a music player or camera...it's a phone...

BOOST MOBILE WAGES WAR AGAINST SAGGING AT&T WIRELESS IN AUSTIN TX

I'm currently a Boost Mobile customer. I also have AT&T Wireless. I switched to Boost Mobile almost 7 months ago, as AT&T's service here in the Central TX area had diminished horribly, calls were being lost/failed/voice quality horrific. During the past 7 months, my Boost Mobile has never had a failed call, voice quality is crisp and clear, texting has always worked great. For $50.00, including all government taxes - this is a service people should really try out. I've used Boost throughout the Central Texas area, I've used it while traveling on the West Coast and in the Washington DC area. I never had any problems with coverage, signals or voice clarity. Boost has really gotten itself together and come to consumers with a really grea...

Poor Signal in Metal Buildings

I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with poor reception inside a metal building. I have been in Costco, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Starbucks and on and have no reception. My coverage area is great according to Boost reps and their coverage maps. While in the stores I have tried powering my phone off and on, tried removing the battery and then powering back on and still have no service. Im not meaning low signal strength, i mean NO service.... Has anyone had this problem or know of a way to fix it? Please Help...

Are the texting delays fixed yet??

I read on another site that the texting delays were going to be fixed by end of last week. Just asking those who have Boost if things are improving, as I am considering switching to Boost.

Thanks.

I am hoping it is just today...

So, I go and plop $300 for a Moto i9, bring it home to get activated. Log onto the web site, and it keeps locking up in both IE and Firefox. So, I call the toll free number, enter all of my data, then the recording says, you need to hold for a representative. Okay. I hold for six minutes or so, then the line goes silent.

I will try again tomorrow.

Fellow Phonescoopers: PLEASE Stop Posting "I Had Carrier X Once And They Really Sucked."

Why? Because posts like that add NOTHING to this community, and cannot be proven or disproven since the members here are all anonymous posting under usernames.

If you are having a problem, by all means DO post and ask for help. But, "I used to have so and so and they suck," is neither helpful nor beneficial to this community. Many folks read these posts for helpful information, and all negative blather like this accomplishes is it tarnishes the name of a reputable carrier that is probably doing all it can to stay afloat in this troublesome economy.

I once had a really bad experience with a carrier, and if I wanted to, I could write a book about it here. I'm not going to do that because basically, nobody cares, and one experience doesn'...

Question on setting up service with Boost

I am getting ready to buy a phone and sign up for the unlimited plan with Boost.

If anyone could answer a few questions for me, it would be appreciated.

1) Do all the phones currently available for purchase on Boost support all the features of the unlimited $50/month plan?

2) Does the purchase of say the I776 include any service or do you pay additional for that?

3) Is porting a number a lengthy process (from Alltel)?

Thanks!

BOOST MOBILE SMS TEXT MESSAGING - ISSUES IN TEXAS

I've been using Boost Mobile's $50 unlimited plan for a short while and must say its clarity and connection (no dropped calls) is refreshing, but Boost has a major issue in Texas and maybe throughout the USA - its SMS Text Messaging Network is NOT RELIABLE NOR DEPENDABLE, and sometimes just does not work. I've reported it to Boost Mobile many times, they can't tell me why its not working. Everyone who is having issues needs to report it otherwise Boost won't fix it.
