CellOne Needs to Go To Nights Starting at 7:00PM

Here in WV CellOne really needs to start nights at 7:00pm as this is what a lot of the carriers are starting to do now. Although CellOne is the main carrier here in North Central WV still Ntelos and Sprint and US CELL is offering night minutes at 7. Hopefully they will to! 🙂

synching with Outlook

I am looking to upgrade to Cell One's GSM coverage. One of the requirements is that my new phone be able to synch with MS Outlook for the calendar and contacts. Can anyone help me decide which phones/software works the best for this purpose? I am considering the Nokia 6103, S/E Z520, or the Moto RAZR. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Motorola Pebl

Hi,
Does anyone know if and if so, when, Cellular one might support the Motorola Pebl? I really want this phone but am not thrilled about having to change carriers.
Thanks

Text messaging does NOT work!!!

This is really starting to make me angry.

For whatever reason, I am NOT able to get a text message from a friend of mine who is with Cell One. (I am with Alltel). I send messages, and she recives them, but I for some reason, can NOT receive anything from her!!!

What is up with that!?!?!

We are both subscribers to that feature so that isn't the issue....

She can send/receive to a different friend of her's with Alltel....so why not me??? Is it an area code/prefix issue!?????? (we are in different area codes and also obviously have a different prefix.......

Cell one really needs to fix this......

U.P.of Michigan

Is CellularOne the only carrier in the UP (as in Watersmeet) and Norther Wisconsin? (as in Eagle River) Is their service now GSM, or is a dual band phone necessary?

All suggestions appreciated! Thanks!

Registering unlocked phone with CellularOne

I am a long time customer of CellularOne but have been a bit disappointed by their selection of phones. I bought an unlocked Motorola Rokr and I can't get it to work on my network. The phone supports 1900 mhz networks which is what I have. I was assured by the person I bought the phone from and even the local CellularOne store that if I had a 1900 mhz phone it would work on the network all I would have to do is put in my sim card. I called the tech support line and they told me to call Motorola then Motorola told me to call my service provider. I want to know if I need to get my money back for this phone or if there is some way that it will work?

Cellular One (Dobson) - Texas (Bastrop & LaGrange area)

Cellular One (Dobson Cellular) has really great service in the Bastrop & LaGrange, TX areas by passing Cingular's service.

I have two phones on two different carriers (Cellular One & Cingular). Cellular One offers those living in its network UNLIMITED DAYTIME/NIGHT TIME/WEEKEND CELL SERVICE at only $50.00 a month. Check into it, its a great deal if youre like me and spend 2-4 hours a day on the cell phone. You can call all 50 states, and travel to them without fees. The only stipulation is that you must utilize Cellular One's network 50% of the time (then again you can travel 50% of the time as well)!

Also, if you check on the internet you'll find Dobson signed a multi-year PIGGY BACK roaming agreement with Cingular Wireless, s...

Need Recommendations/Opinions Please!

I'm going to be switching to Cellular One shortly due to a move to an area where that is the only cellular service provider. I've been with Verizon (excellent reception everywhere!) and I'm nervous about switching companies. I'm going to be out in the boonies in MN and need to get a phone with very good reception, as well as all the fun bells & whistles. I prefer a clam-shell style phone.

These are the models I'm considering:

Motorola V555
Nokia 6101
Sony Ericsson z500
Motorola V190

Any opinions or recommendations on which of these will have the best reception while still having the most features? I'm currently using a Samsung sch-a950, which I love, and don't want to lose too much functionality (don't care about the MP3 pl...

New Phones For Cell ONE

This forum is so Dead thought I would add something!

New Addtions to CellularONE's Phone Lineup.
Total Lineup is on main info page.

Samsung X497
Rating 3.5 out of 5

Overall it looks like a inexpensive Flip phone that works great. No camera, MP3 tones, External Display, Speaker Phone.

- Great Reception ( People rated it way better then moto and same or a little below Nokia's)

Some Cons where Ext Display hard to read - Side keys bumped turn phone to silent, too basic for some.

I was hoping this phone had a exteral antenna connection. I called samsungs tech support and they said they dont sell one so they didnt suggested a third party antenna. They wou...

Question about CellularOne?

I'm currently a US Cellular customer, I own a phone that according to Motorola should have the ability to transfer ringtones and images via usb cable between my pc and my phone. USCC locked out that feature to force me to use their EasyEdge data service to be able to get my own created ringtones. Needless to say I won't pay them to use my own created rintones. So now I'm considering jumping ship and swimming on over to CellularOne.
So here's my question. Does CellOne lock out features on their phone to force people to use their data service?
I also like the idea that CellOne is doing some forward thinking by switching over to GSM. Now considered a world standard for cell networks.
Maybe I'm just a cheap bastard, but I believe that I sho...

Cellular One Getting the Motorola PEBL?

Last night I was having the CellOne CS department send me the MMS session again and the lady asked if I liked my V3. I of course replied yes, and then I brought up the V3i (a new version of the V3 with iTunes, expandable memory, and various features) and asked if CellOne would be getting it, or if Cingular had that model locked down for awhile too. She didn't know, but she did say that they were most likely getting the PEBL. She didn't say the exact name, but she described it to me, and I asked her if she meant the PEBL and she said "Yeah that sounds right." Do anyone CellOne employees know if you guys are getting the PEBL or the V3i?

V400

😡

Has anyone else experienced the trouble with this phone? This is the seventh motorola phone I have owned and I have had nothing but problems with it. It drops calls, and will automatically shut off on me somtimes, while I am talking, others just pushing a button. It really has become very frustrating. I have sent it in for repairs. They have updated the software, solved some soldering problem and continues to be nothing but problems. I know of another customer who was given a brand new replacement phone and has the same problems. I have also heard that the V600 also has the same problems. I really think it is a design flaw and Motorola needs to recall them. Please let me know how anyone else has this problem rectified.
