I just lost my Nokia 3585i phone (or it was stolen off my belt; either way, I don't have it anymore), which I got from USCC last July. I would just like to replace it with something roughly the same (possibly the 3586i) until my contract is up next July and I can get a decent deal on a better phone.

My question is this: Do I need to buy a US Cellular-configured phone to accomplish this? I don't want to do anything particularly unscrupulous, but I don't really have the money for a tricked-out phone right now, and most of the 3585i and 3586i's that are on E-bay are going high for US Cellular and low for lots of other networks. Is there any way at all to download photos to the LX5550 USCC version of this phone? I bought this instead of the 6000 camera phone with the understanding that I could download my photos (like I did on my old 4400) through EasyEdge. However the USCC dealers now tell me it's not possible on this phone. Does anyone have any experience with that Datapilot program that is out there? Can photos be downloaded from your pc to the LX5550 with this program? I don't want to spend the money on the Datapilot program just to find out it won't work on the 5550 even though it says it is supported.

I just got an LG LX5550. Great phone. How do I change the wallpaper screens on it? I downloaded a bunch that I had on my VX4400 with the Easyedge and Pictavison. They are saved under the Pictavison albumn, but how do I get them to the wallpaper screens from there?

Hi, experts!

I have a problem. I sold a phone to someone, and they took it to Alltel and tried to get it changed. Alltel techs apparently are **!@#$#, and they tried and tried, and then tried to upload software, all with no success.

Now the phone says "rdm failed". What does that mean? Can we put the SPC in and fix this or does the phone have to go in for repair?

Is anyone using a Kyocera KX414 on USC in Iowa? Any problems with this phone that you are aware of? How does it handle reception in the fringe areas? Thanks for your help in advance.

I am a long time Cingular subscriber, but do to a current issue I have with them I am considering switching to US. I like their current special of free incoming calls. Anyway, you all are users tell me what you think. Would I be happy with them for the life of the two year contract and what phone would hold up the best for the two years?

Hello, I was wondering if US cell will get a decent PDA phone. Not that one they are selling now. Like the treo 600/610 or something like that. I love the service but need a pda /phone tired of carrying around both. I may be forced to go with sprint but coverage is not as good in West Virginia.
Any help or insight on some new pda style phones for US cell? 🙄
