Are these people ever.........

going to push out the update to the HTC Desire. My friend has one and the storage capability is embarassing. Yesterday she got a low on memory message when she tried to send a text message. She has deleted a lot of her apps and photos. Her local US Cell rep said he had the same problem and to wait for the update.

WTF? are these people morons? My Verizon Incredible was updated months ago.

FYI to USCC Employees

What you type on your employee phone and your computer, not only can be watched, but is being watched. Constantly. Just ask me. The fired guy.

MySpace
etc...

Unless you want an unemployment check. Which is actually pretty nice. Now, what you have done or said wont "directly" lead you to a conversation with the corrupt HR department but it will put you on a watch list...

New Social Media Policy

Recently left U.S. Cellular and found out from some of my former colleagues that there's a new social media policy that basicly says employees are not allowed to talk about US Cellular in any public platform unless authorized to.

From what i've been told this policy is meant to prevent customers from getting wrong information on forums and facebook. Somehow the reps who are trusted in working with customers every day and selling the US Cellular brand aren't trusted to talk about it on social forums.

I personally think this policy is more about preventing people from telling customers that the company thats supposed to care doesn't give a **** about its employees. It's charging more then ever for its services and paying its employe...

The Belief Project.....What is it really??

I'm looking for some feedback into what the aims of the Belief Project really are?? Is it to add new subscribers, keep what you already have, cut commissions or something else?? This thread is not created as a "flame point" but rather as an intelligent discussion. Let me know your thoughts.

26 States...

In which 26 states does US Cellular provide service??? Can't find that info anywhere. I don't think they exist in my state but I want to be sure. Any chance they will be expanding into other states soon??

why does it keep turning off??? if i dont use it or have it plugged up it will turn off and only way to power on is to pull the battery out

MisD.O. the D.O. ???

People would generally agree that the D.O. has good principles. But for those who are USCC employees or ex employees, do you feel like the D.O. is sometimes misapplied to punish, control, or brainwash associates? I have no opinion either way but am curious to see how you feel on this.

Why the assertion you should only comment in a USCC forum if you are a current customer/employee?

Now granted, I do not believe someone should be a troll and just bash a company for the sake of bashing them. However, what if a person is an ex-employee or ex-customer, or has worked for various wireless carriers, or is just interested in the industry in general? Why cant s/he post in a USCC forum if not a current customer/employee? I'm sure the T&C of phonescoop doesnt prohibit that.

It seems like when the comments are positive, like "USCC has awesome coverage/the best customer service/ are a good company", no one cares if a person is a current customer/employee. But if it is negative, it is a problem. USCC has invoked some negative comments due to the overhype of their Belief plans and arrogance of some associates (not all of cours...

Voicemail Assistance

I've been searching for a Voicemail Menu Matrix for US Cellular phones. If an employee has access to one, could you please post it here?

More specifically, right now I'm looking to make the voice after the greeting, the ones that tells people how to leave a message, to go away. However, having the full matrix would be useful for future questions.

Froyo End of January?

Just got off the phone with customer support and they told me that they don't have a date but may be end of January for the 2.2 update.

Still frustrated that I cannot use the HTC Desire to it's full potential and having to uninstall applications after updating some of my apps that had updates available.

Is there truth in the end of January or is it just the end of the following month that they are supposed to tell people? They also gave me a number for the manufacturer 888-987-4357 but reversed looked this up and it's Samsung and not sure what they can do to help the current problem.

Any Ideas on When Android 2.2 for HTC Desire will be Available

Does anyone know when the Android 2.2 will be released for the HTC Desire? I keep running into the Low Memory message and I've read about the ability to save your apps to the SD card. My contacts take a lot of space and the Google Earth and Sky seem to give me the Low Memory message if installed so I've had to remove for now. Does anyone else experience this and do others feel the phone is not being used to it's full potential without this ability?

The REAL reason U.S. Cellular is number one with Consumer Reports...and its customers!

Upon seeing the thread about how U.S.Cellular is number one in a host of categories it really doesn't come as any surprise. This is in the same way its no surprise to the AT&T Customers that their carrier is dead last. The truth of the matter is, is that USC has fantastic Customer Service, both at their call centers and at their stores-at least I can speak for the ones I've been at in the Joliet, Ill area. As a customer the point of my thread is to point out to USC's management that hopefully they can recognize that cutting the pay of their front line people can be VERY DEMORALIZING for the Associates that have helped to bring them this Honor and Success. Sure there are laws of economics and the company is no different than the "Big 4", in ...
