New Minute Plans.....

Does anyone have more detailed information on the new minute plans???
I keep receiving conflicting information on minute charges when in the extended home area (stripped blue area) on your coverage map.
The dark blue is home the stripped blue is extended and the light blue is travel-talk which understandably is 19 cents/minute on the unlimited plan.
How does it work on the new minute plans????
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Metro PCS Question

Whose network do they use? For some reason I thought they used the Sprint Network but when I put in my zip code on their website it says "Future Coverage", but Sprint has coverage here already.

I googled it and it just said it used a pcs network.

Anyone have the process to program/flash a Droid to Metro PCS?

Also, how do you add the ESN so it can be setup on their network?

LTE phone in Vegas

I have a Samsung Craft now.
purchased this device and what a joke. If this is 4g you do not want it. Selecting any streaming video or video on demand is slower than any other 3G service. Doing anything web related even when it shows 5 bars and 4G is ridiculously slow. I see why no other carrier will launch any LTE phone devices to start as they are not ready if this is an indication. Other carriers would sell a feature phone like this for $19.99 not $299

Ringtones, alert alternatives (Samsung Freeform r350)

I put the model of my phone just in case that matters.

Ok, I understand that with metro you can get bundles... $5/month for 5 ringtones or $5/month for 2 Greetme (answer) tones. That is legit and what they offer and you have to keep paying that extra $5 each month for the ringtones and/or greetme tones. I called and again confirmed that you cannot use the tones if you do not pay the extra 5 a month. so you can just get (1)...drag...

I do NOT want to go to some ripoff site. I just want perhaps a couple more choices of alert sounds (there are TWO) on this phone for text messages, photo messages, alarm etc. I have looked at many cr@ppy "FREE RINGTONE" sites and the ones I have found, #1 don't work and #2 I don't trust them.

Are there A...

MetroPCS vs Straighttalk

OK, so here's the skinny. I've had both networks before. Currently I've got Straight talk, which the only problem I've had thus far is them taking my number and giving it away. I've been assigned a new one, and it's not that big of a deal to me. my contacts are all still there, so I just sent them a message. None of these are business anyway.

Now, I left Metro because of the stupid prices they had at the time, and the exceedingly lame coverage. upon looking them up, I see they have what appears to be "better" coverage than before, but what are all your opinions on it?

So far the only things attracting me are the $40/mo for unlimited talk/txt/pic deal and the Messager II.

Straight talk i like only because of the Verizon network cover...
