Samsung Galaxy Indulge - Almost there.

Introduced on the 9th, it appears that the Galaxy Indulge is a scaled-down cousin of T-Mobile's Galaxy S 4G. Most would consider it the first real 4G smart phone for MetroPCS. I'll be waiting for phone with more battery life, AMOLED, hotspot feature, and Andriod 2.3. I read up on this nightmode feature for the camera. But nightmode does not appear to be the same as flash. Anyway, almost there as far as features.

By the way, most of the rumors were apparently off. It was not called the Forte, did not sport a 5 MP camera, and the screen was smaller as initially reported.

MetroPCS Expands Northeast Network Coverage with Launch of Wireless Services in Connecticut

BOSTON – (Feb. 1, 2011) – Meeting the growing demand for pay-in-advance, no annual contract wireless services, MetroPCS Communications, Inc. today expanded network coverage across Massachusetts and into Connecticut with the launch of services in Springfield, Hartford, New Haven and surrounding areas. More than two million additional Massachusetts and Connecticut residents will now have access to a wide variety of feature, touch screen and smart phones along with flexible wireless service plans – all at an exceptional value and without a long-term contract.

"Since launching service in the Boston market almost two years ago, we have seen an opportunity to provide an incredible value to consumers in surrounding areas by increa...

A few questions:

When is the release date for the Samsung Forte?

Also, when will Florida get 4G?

Thanks!

Charlotte, NC

Does Metro have no love for us in the Carolinas? Charlotte is one of the top cities in the country as far as population. By all standards, we're a Metro area.

Why no love, then?

Huawei Ascend-M860

I have a question. Does anyone have the M860 and has downloaded the "Angry Birds" game and have issues with it? Please let me know. I have an Ascend and I can't play the game. It gives me sounds but I get a black and white image that sometimes doesn't even work.
Thanks 🙂

New National Coverage for MetroPCS

Who's network does MetroPCS piggy-back on? The map of "MetroPCS Extended Home Area" looks more similar to Sprints.

I compared http://www.metropcs.com/coverage/ with http://coverage.sprintpcs.com/ and http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/pcc.aspx

thinking of holding out...

I have to be honest. As MetroPCS expands their coverage and phone selection, it's getting harder to ignore them. I'm thinking of moving over from one of the "major" carriers that charges significantly more for significantly less. One thing is keeping me back, though, and that's finding the right phone.

Ideally, I want an Android phone with the new LTE 4G speed. I know Metro has announced that they will be coming out with more 4G phones, but does anyone know if that will include one with the Android platform?

I like the Optimus M, but downloading/crawling at 1xx scares me. Similarly, I love the design of the Samsung Craft, but not having a major platform like Android is a concern, since it's become very obvious that Apple and Googl...

Metro MMS question

Hoping someone on here knows the answer to this... Is there intercarrier MMS operability between Sprint and MetroPCS? I have a phone from each carrier and I get error/fail messages when trying to send picture messages between the two. Any help/insight will be greatly appreciated!

New Minute Plans.....

Does anyone have more detailed information on the new minute plans???
I keep receiving conflicting information on minute charges when in the extended home area (stripped blue area) on your coverage map.
The dark blue is home the stripped blue is extended and the light blue is travel-talk which understandably is 19 cents/minute on the unlimited plan.
How does it work on the new minute plans????
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Metro PCS Question

Whose network do they use? For some reason I thought they used the Sprint Network but when I put in my zip code on their website it says "Future Coverage", but Sprint has coverage here already.

I googled it and it just said it used a pcs network.

LTE phone in Vegas

I have a Samsung Craft now.
purchased this device and what a joke. If this is 4g you do not want it. Selecting any streaming video or video on demand is slower than any other 3G service. Doing anything web related even when it shows 5 bars and 4G is ridiculously slow. I see why no other carrier will launch any LTE phone devices to start as they are not ready if this is an indication. Other carriers would sell a feature phone like this for $19.99 not $299
