Very Upset with Virgin Mobile Service

I have the LG Rumor Touch - Every single month I have to call into Virgin Mobile's customer service (if you can call it that) department because I have issues with my picture messaging and web browsing. Though it occurs every single month they have no clue how to fix this issue. I am unable to send/receive picture messages and most of the time I can not browse the web. I spend hours and hours of my life trying to get someone to fix my problem as I continue to pay for services that I am unable to use. I am told the same things over and over again as well including "We apologize for the inconvenience" and that they "understand my frustration" and "thank you for choosing Virgin Mobile." Seriously?! They sent me a junkie refurbished phone and su...

New Android Phones?

Before going ahead and buying the new LG Android that just came out, I was wondering has anyone heard of any new Android phones coming to VM here in the near future? I saw on another forum they expect VM to release some new phones but was curious if anyone had any idea what?

Would I be best to get the new LG now or sit for a month or two for something better coming down the line?

I'm ready to scream

Got my kids all new phones for christmas. I
went online and activated them on Christmas
eve so that they would be ready on Christmas
morning. Everything works except the
picture messaging. I cannot send my kids a
picture message to save my life. It's all
three phones too. Two of my kids have the
Rumor Touch and one has the Rumor 2. I have
called Virgin Mobile 7 times since Christmas
and all they can say is "We are working on it".
This is so irritating. I want to be told
when and how you're going to fix it, not
"we are working on it". I am about to cancel
all three accounts if this isn't fixed
within the next day or two.

LG Optimus - Required Plan?

With the new android I have been told different things depending on the store. Am hoping maybe I can figure out the right answer by asking on here.

Do you have to have the Beyond Talk plan or can you have a Pay Lo plan since the $30.00 includes data.

Reason I ask, they have a few of the new LG phones in stock and I see online it's backordered. I recently just made a payment for the $30 plan before knowing about thsi new phone.

Would it work on the PayLo plan? If I get the phone, I plan to switch to the $40 Beyond Talk Plan in a few weeks when my month is over.

Thanks

2 Questions about VM

One is that i just resigned my contract with Verizon in August because i was thinking about switching at first until i changed my mind now that i saw Virgin Mobiles Plans. I was like wow thats alot cheaper than what im paying now, and averagely i only use about 200 or maybe less minutes and for 25 a month i get 300 mins, unlimited text and data which is alot cheaper than 66 a month or 75. But question is it worth breaking my contract now for 330 (whichever the ETF for my smartphone is) to go to VM?

Also if i can get a Jailbroken iPhone 4, can i use it with VM?

iPhone on VM

Now that Apple just announced that it's going to offer a CDMA iPhone for Verizon, if I were able to get an unlocked CDMA iPhone, could I set it up on VM? What about anyone else's CDMA phones? I'm not happy with any of the VM Beyond phones.

Thanks

Recent changes to plans (for the worse)

So, I've used VM for years for my kids and it used to be that I would top up their phone with $10 and out of that $10, I would buy $5.00 messaging package that brought the cost of messages to .05. Now VM has done away with that nicety. They've replaced with a whole bunch of expensive monthly contracts instead when my 10 year old really just needs a few messages per month. ☚ī¸

Looks like I'm moving to AT&T which still has the monthly $5.00 for 200 messages packages.

Just be aware that VM is no longer a value choice for pay as you go customers.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year to all!

Wireless Portability Hell...

Just ported both my folks over from Sprint to Virgin. And EGADS, what a pain in the ass.

Lessons learned:

--You can't just activate a Virgin Mobile handset online and expect a wireless portability option to pop up. I tried activating the first of two new phones and got a brand new Virgin Mobile phone number. You have to call into Virgin to port any numbers from your old carrier. You cannot do this online. Is it 2002 again and nobody told me?

--The call centers are in India, so you're going to be speaking to Indian reps. Which I had no problem with, since Indians speak the Queen's English (and better English than anyone in South Florida). How do they handle themselves as reps? Well, some were going by a script and weren't much help....

Does anyone know....

If you can use homemade ringtones on the LG Rumor Touch and the LG Rumor 2 on Virgin Mobile? I make my own ringtones and was wondering if I could send them to these phones and use them as ringtones. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. 🙂

couple of questions about virgin mobile

is it nationwide? can i take it to any state or do i have to stay in an area like cricket?

are there lots of hidden fees like at&t and tmobile? how much do you pay in extra fees on average?

how fast is the 3G?

what are the cons of virgin mobile?

right now i have cricket and i think its great but virgin mobile's 25 dollar plan sounds better since i barely use minutes and it looks like virgin has better phones.

thanks in advance

Question to the Virgins

How many virgin mobile users actually post on here? Let me refine my question, how many of you on this site use the virgin mobile pre-paid phone as your main, personal cell phone? I'm curious as to how you like it, and why. That is my question. Thank you.
