Verizon's national 4G network employs LTE technology in bands 4, 13, and 2, which are also known as the AWS (1700 MHz), Upper 700 (750 MHz), and PCS (1900 MHz) bands. Verizon's legacy 2G/3G network employs CDMA technology in both the Cellular (850 MHz) and PCS (1900 MHz) bands, including EVDO Revison A 3G data technology. Verizon now offers LTE-only phones, with an eye toward eventually phasing out CDMA.
