The Government is my Shepherd, I need not work. It alloweth me to lie down on a good job; It leadeth me beside still factories; It destroyeth my initiative. It leadeth me in the path of a parasite for politic’s sake;
Yea, though I walk through the valley of laziness and deficit-spending, I will fear no evil, for the government is with me. It prepareth an economic Utopia for me, by appropriating the earnings of my own grandchildren. It filleth my head with false security; My inefficiency runneth over. Surely the government should care for me all the days of my life, And I shall dwell in a fool’s house forever.

What a bunch of bunk! Typical anti government straw man illogic wrapped in a Christian theology shroud. I sincerely hope that you posted this as a joke.

We the people are the government. And if we decide that AT&T is using OUR public spectrum in ways counter to the public interest, then we damn hell have a right to tell AT&T no.

Now, that said, nothing in this program seems nefarious, as long as it is completely voluntary. However, if AT&T were to impose data usage fees upon app developers, then that would be a clear violation of net neutrality principles.
