i heard about the new ongoing research project where they're trying to add solar panels besides the touchscreen to convert the light emitted by the screen into stored energy again helping extend batt life by a few years. i think we're still years away from getting that so knowing that processors extend batt life is a very good thing too.
Let's not give Apple any ideas! Shhhh
