Any information regarding battery life? With the Droid RAZR MAXX having a 3,300mAh battery there really isn't any excuse anymore. I don't buy into quad-core processors helping with battery life either. LTE alone kills it

Well, the big things with the Snapdragon S4 chip in AT&T's One X is that it puts the processor and LTE modem on one chip, which should help battery life enormously.

Most Qualcomm chips do put the modem and processor on one chip, which helps battery life and size. But Qualcomm hasn't made such a chip with LTE before now. That's why LTE phones have been known for large size and having poor battery life; they had to cram two big, power-hungry chips in there.

But this year, phones like the One X with a single Snapdragon S4 should be smaller and more power-efficient.

Thanks Rich. I sure hope so. The battery on my Nexus (LTE) isn't great but it could be worse. Like one of the MetroPCS LTE phones lol. Those can't even last 3 hours! Measly 1500 mAh batteries and all.

I know Apple was probably waiting on Qualcomm right?

i heard about the new ongoing research project where they're trying to add solar panels besides the touchscreen to convert the light emitted by the screen into stored energy again helping extend batt life by a few years. i think we're still years away from getting that so knowing that processors extend batt life is a very good thing too. Cool
