You really think that if T-Mobile had this planned this whole time they have waited this long to announce it?
It is very, very obvious that the acquisition process that T-Mobile went through when at&t was trying to buy them would have stopped any network upgrade / rollout plans, or announcements. Probably by more than a year.

We can't, its against Fanboi Rule #27 which more or less states, all problems with US carriers is Apple and AT&T's fault.
But, all in all this is good for TMO customers who get new handsets which support 1900 hspa+ because they can now roam on to AT&T, and I assume in certain circumstances, vice versa.
