Cingular/ AT&T Merger

I just bought a Audiovox 9900 phone I am happy with the phone. A few things I don't like feels too plastic. Hard to hear on the phone and Verizon Wireless... I like the coverage area, but most of the phones suck, and the minute plans suck. Now that Verizon is the #2 biggest wireless network in the US..... Should I switch to Cingular and get more minutes, such as roll over----- free in network calling At&t and Cingular.. Sounds really nice, any ideas. I have 12 days left on the 9900.

If you need to rollover minutes every month, then you are obviously paying too much for your service...think about it.

Do you realize how many customer go way over their minutes only once a year and the rest the time they barely use their phone. There are alot(i work in a call centre for attws)

Yea, but once a year doesn't constitute that much savings unless you do something outrageous like 3000 minutes of overage on a 600 minute plan. While yes this does happen, not often enough for me care if my minutes roll over or not.

im thinking cingular has 1000 minutes for 39.99 and verizon has 400 minutes for 39.99 so whos paying too much for what? also i do have to applaud verizon for turning something as common as mobile to mobile into a national craze for " in ". whoever thought of that marketing idea deserves a big raise.

I get so sick of "Are you In?" and "Can You Hear Me Now? from all of my customers. It gets really old 😕

I suppose it's just me, but that "are you in" thing sounds kinda dirty, and a LOT like something no guy would want to hear... 😳

You know what's funnier? I have customers that inquire about their account and ask me "Am I In?" and I just want to laugh! 🙄

Only appropriate answer to that is "dunno, how does it feel to YOU?" 🤭

That's what I say sometimes. I just say, "I don't know let's check to see if you are IN!" Man, you put my mind in the gutter! 🤣

To answer the original question before this post got off topic. (BTW all the times I hear "Am I IN?" I never though of that, but have to say it is hilarious, LOL at my desk) Having worked for both companies have to say the plans are much better than VZW, if you have good service in your coverage area. ATTWS offers much more for your money, all VZW offers is America's Choice calling plans w/ nationwide coverage (besides the local digital choice w/ no promos and less mins than there counterparts). If you are mostly calling from near your home it is a great deal and even the national plans are better, along with the early evenings and addt'l bonus mins. But w/ VZW you pay a premium for marginally better coverage. Noticed immediately after takin...

Actually, our 400 minute plan has unlimited night and weekends and mobile to moblie. We do have a 39.99 1000 w/o these features.
