Any engineers in here? I have a question

Is the FCC blocking LightSquared's network because it does actually interfere with GPS signals, or is it for political reasons?

Thanks in advance.

According to test results released, if LS is allowed to broadcast from terrestrial towers at magnitudes high enough to be effective, yes, it will interfere with GPS devices.

The real question is why did the FCC even grant the request with stiuplations?

There is question about whether it was politically motivated or not.

Falcone is a large contributor to political entities and pacs.

That seems to be the case--apparently Falcone thought the wheels could be greased with cash when it came to testing, too. Looks like he thought wrong.

Falcone is under investigation on several fronts.

He made a killing on (correct me if I'm wrong, I can take it) short sales when the housing market crashed.

Since then, he hasn't even reached 1st base, much less hit any home runs.

Harbringer will be a thing of the past in a matter of time.
I have not idea how LS/Falcone convinced Sprint to get in bed with them.
That was just silly and stupid.

Perhaps he greased some wheels at Sprint, too.
