I get what your saying. These days we expect more tech for money. Microsoft has been super, suer slow with support for LTE.

"Microsoft has been super, suer slow with support for LTE."

No slower than Apple...

Although truthfully, I am inclined to think that right now LTE isn't very practical, using LTE leads to shorter battery life, and LTE networks are not stable....I don't doubt that LTE is where we are headed, but frankly I think the networks are more advanced than the current generation of phones can handle...it will probably be at least 3-5 years before we can get decent performance out of an LTE phone.

You think that long, huh? Even though quad-core smart phones are going to be announced @ MWC in less than 2wks.

I'll believe it when I see it, I know that quad core processor on a laptop significantly reduces battery life, I don't see why it would be different on a smartphone....

Just becuase a new Device / Product is released does NOT mean that it will actuially work properly.

Case in Point -->
The Delorian
Ford Pinto
Grand AM with Quad-4 Engine
G2x (First dual core phone, everybody knows that phone has BIG BIG problems)
Anything made by Coby/Cora/Electrohome

That quad-core smartphone is probably loaded with bugs and glitches, both affecting the hardware and the software. It always happens with every single new release of a new style product, and it will continue to happen. 5 years is a good estimate.

The $900 is not just for the phone....the accessories alone look like they are worth around $200-$300, which means that the phone itself is likely selling for around $500-$600 no commitment price, which is about average for a smartphone with similar specs....

If they'd only get a good OS on these phones rather than WinJunk...

Windows Mobile 1-6 was indeed a fairly mediocre (at best) mobile OS, but Windows Phone 7 is actually very good.....

While WP7 isn't my cup of tea, its not junk either, its a choice. People get all hung up on fanboism.

True I'm going to wait for WP7 Apollo. That should bring bigger screens and dual core processors. Hopefully an updated UI too

Well, that will actually be WP8. Lol

The UI will be updated but, still metro in style. Hopefully, they will add a little more customization for the live tiles. As fore the dual core processors, from my understanding, will support larger mega pixel cameras, graphic chips and higher def screens. Also, the new update is rumored to actually support swappable memory and upgrading. I don't care so much about being able to swap memory but, being able to add extra memory will be nice. Hopefully, the new update will support NAND expandable memory as well as micro SD. NAND will probably be a better choice, considering it will support up to 1TB. 32 to 64gigs will do for most people's cell phones. Don't really see needing much more than that, though...

That and the Lumina 900 with a bigger screen is coming out in the next month. Cheaper both with a contract and strait out off contract.
