It's time to fire Dan Hesse....I had high hopes for him when he first came on....but it is clear that he is incompetent...maybe they need an entirely new board of directors as well....hell....just get rid of everybody, a clean sweep

Reading comprehension is at an all time low. LS payed Sprint a 65 million dollar deposit for the right to piggyback sprint's lte deployment. Sprint simply is going to repay them. This means essentially that Dan Hesse entered into an agreement where his worst case scenario amounted to a 65 million dollar interest free loan. This would widely be considered good management.

Question still stands.
Does Sprint have $65 million.
Doesn't matter if LS 'loaned' them that amount.

My message was not addressed to you and your question was not interesting to me.

The answer, however, is that if sprint followed anything resembling standard accounting practices then this will have no impact on their bottom line.

I didn't realize we were limited to commenting on posts that were only replying to something we posted ....

The fact still reamins, standard accounting practices aside, Sprint will have to pony up $65 million.

This will impact their operating cash or their borrowing ability.

Plain and simple.

Any speculation about Sprint 'investing' the original $65 million and not using it to augment their operational cash on hand, is merely speculation until some facts are presented to prove such.

Sprints recent reports show that they are 7B short on their opperating budget over the next 4 years. They sold some notes in which they were hoping to raise 3B but they are still short an additional 4B...they may have some cash in their bank acct...but it all has a name on it already. They just hadn't paid their bills yet 🙂

Thank you.
I'm not some Sprint hater, but they are like the clown of the cellular industry lately.

WiMax, Clearwire, LightSquared....

Always looking for a way to cut a corner to field a viable network.

Please, please don't criticize Sprint... you will get the fans raining down on your parade...

Actually, people in general on here just like to post negative things. Some are educated, some are not. Say something positive about AT&T or the iPhone and you will get attacked also...

Well, truthfully if you're not going to complain about something there is little reason to post at a place like this....

There isn't much of a market for the message that things are generally going well and there's nothing to be upset about...on the other hand there will always be an audience for the message that things are not as good as they could be and that companies are not being managed as well as they could be

That's the main reason why most posts around here negative

A lot of them are panties in a wad posts about trivial stuff.

OMG someone is going to charge their customers something.

OMG... ATT is doubling their upgrade fee... Now you can get out of your contract.... bs...

Lets kill the GPS companies because they are interfering with LS legal use of the spectrum they paid for... bs...

Unless I have a pretty good general understanding on a particular subject, I donn't tend to interject bs.

For some people, the fact that they are rather anonomous allows them to just show their igrnorance.
