I don't think Tmob receives any cash. Isn't it a transfer of spectrum? That was my understanding.
It does affect ATT's bottom line, but it's not a cash loss, but rather a reduction in overall value.
I'm of the same opinion that increases in data fees and upgrade fees were implemented to mitigate the loss of value in the next report though.
