Personally I think its BS, BUT. If this was Sprint doing it, it would have 9 posts, not 100+, saying well they need to recoup money for their losses. Similar if it was TMO. If it was VZW there would be 20 to 30 post saying, divided between its BS, and that the service VZW provides is well worth it and well worth the added expense.
