P.S. If you add the 36$ to the price of the phone, the majority of AT&T's phones are still cheaper... Ok troll on.

No, however these increased prices happen everywhere. Theres a lot of hatred towards AT&T on here so I knew this would give everyone great ammo to complain. I dont like it but with the cost of phones being cheaper then their major competition it really isnt that horrible.....

No it tells me that AT&T has a low demographic on this site. We all wanna think the product/service we use or have is superior to others. If your a verizon customer your gonna wanna point out AT&T's flaws. if your a AT&T customer most likely your happy or you have left... Would I rather pay 249.99 for a phone with no up fee or 200 with a 36$ fee. Last time I checked 236 was less then 250. So the bigger complaint would be the price of Verizons pricing. But with a fan base much bigger with other companys on THIS site, AT&T flaws are the talk of the town. Why aren't people outraged with the lack of value of 2gb for 30$ vs 3gb for 30$. No they were outraged that you had to pay 5$ more for 50% more data. And just so you know the 2gb 25$ plan is...

Actually it wasn't an error in spelling but an error of usage 🙂

But I think he was just having fun/being silly....

Verizon, At&t and Sprint will take turns being the bad guys to keep the rates high. I can't complain though. I've been in the industry a long time. It has put a lot of food on my table.

Yet you still complain? You should be experienced enough to know times change.. Or do you like to complain for fun? If you can't change it accept it or move on. Times change, prices change, and sometimes fees are raised. The inflation over 10 years is crazy, obviously the way AT&T opperates they utilize an upgrade fee. I bet the change in the fee almost reflects inflation.

So apparently trolling is anyone stating anything negative about AT&T even if it is true.

However, you bashing any other carrier for any reason is something entirely different.

The only trolling I see here is your original post.

I'm not bashing other carriers. And I do know what trolling is. There is plenty of it on here. i never said anything under my post was Trolling, however I figured this would get the trolls going with plenty of ammo. If you aren't trolling why take offense?

Because your criticism of the etiquette of this forum just creates more problem.

Instead of making a pointless comment calling out "AT&T Bashing" (which the majority of the time is good/healthy productive discussion), why don't you write something productive or just don't bother leaving a comment at all.

I will agree with the point that my post didn't add to the subject at matter. I was simply voicing my opionion that phonescoop will have a field day with this. However you must be on a diffrent site then me, I see more trashing, bashing, and trolling then I do intelligent conversation. Its easy to see, all of the carriers have done things that some consumers dont like. Who gets the most negative attention for it? AT&T. Verizon can do something very the same and it is looked at with a completely diffrent attitude. I never seen anyone outraged that Verizon charged 30$ for the 2gb plan? AT&T offered a new data plan (also 30$ but giving 3gb) and everyone complained. And thats even with the 15 and 25$ features still available. That was my poin...

The $15 200 mb and $30 2 gb plans are not still available. They are grandfathered, just as unlimited data is, but for a new activation or addition of data, they are not available.
If you upgrade from a non smart phone to a smart phone, you will not be offered the grandfathered plans.

And 90% of the time, the company responds 'okay, okay, if it'll make you stay, we'll waive the fee'....

Although truthfully I know there's a certain percentage of people for whom the threat to cancel is entirely empty and made solely for the purpose of trying to get 'free stuff' from the company...

I've done it too....after my one year 'promotional price' ended I called and told them I was not going to pay the new monthly charge....and they put my back on the promotional price.....although what they didn't know is that if they had refused I wouldn't have cancelled anyway....I can't get satellite where I live, cable is literally the only option
