Why complain?

The cost of phones have gone up and the OEM's are making a killing of them. It's not like one has to pay this every month. If a person doesn't want to pay this fee to upgrade their phone every two years, then they do not have to and just keep the old phone they have or they should by all means go to another carrier. Although, you may come out of pocket with more money by doing that. If you're just looking for a carrier that has a cheaper monthly rate, that's understandable. But, to complain about a fee that has been the same for more than a few years is a bit much, in my opinion. People spend $36.00 in a day for something that they can't even remember that they bought. I'm just saying, I understatnd some folks have all kinds of hatred or di...

WoW like the phone is made to last for two years much less any longer. The people who actually use their phone can't make it two years on the same phone. Maybe if the cell companies are not making enough money they need to complain to the makers of these phones or they can go to another maker and get better deals made with them this is how the market should work (I am sure and these companies already do this) When someone is staying and keeping that company making money why ask them to pay more ? It would be like Giving a new customer a better deal and you don't even know if they will pay their bills a vs a repeat customer who always pays their bills and pays on time and never makes trouble. As for the equipment insurance if you lose someth...

Personally I think its BS, BUT. If this was Sprint doing it, it would have 9 posts, not 100+, saying well they need to recoup money for their losses. Similar if it was TMO. If it was VZW there would be 20 to 30 post saying, divided between its BS, and that the service VZW provides is well worth it and well worth the added expense.

Facts were checked, due to the fact that they asked me to return a phone that they were sending me. Tried to call and have them cancel because, the person that found the phone, called me to return it. Not without trying to access it and realized they couldn't. But, the point is, I paid for the phone and yes, I sucked it up because I lost it. However, when I explained the situation, the rep politely asked me to return the phone when I get it but, the deductible would not be refundable. I just thought that was outrageous, considering, if I had been foolish enough to do so, they could made another 150 from the same phone. I understand they are in the business to make money, as is any business and ATT itself, is no different. As for a phone not ...

I think you just got a dumb rep on the phone I have had every single carrier and had to use insurance and they always say If you end up finding the old phone to send that back in not the other way around. Try calling back if something sounds dumb that is a general rule of thumb and honestly I doubt they asked you to return your new phone and not get your money back. You are either making that story up or you didn't hear the person correct or like I said you got a dumb rep. As far a case goes people have them on phones as I work in cellular wise guy and they still don't last even when people are taking care of them so please don't try and pass crap out to me as I will give it right back.

Believe what you like. Im just pointing out what I have personally experienced and my opinion on phone quality. I've had many phones and they all have lasted until the end of my contract and beyond. That's with regular use and dropping them on more than a few occasions and even getting them wet to the point they needed to be dried out for them to work again,to boot. Yes, it may have been a dumb rep but, as with anything, you first encounter is the one you tend remember. Im not doubting you had issues with phones and I have no reason to make anything up. What would be the point of that? This forum is about stating opinions or facts, good or bad experiences. No need to get into your feelings about it. Lol

A. Cellular companies do not insure phones. That is outsourced. Most use Asurion.
B. You did not receive a 'new' phone, you got a refurbished one, thus the $150 price.

I see your one of those people, huh? I was simply using a past experience to make the point about choices we make. To pay or not to pay a fee. As the point a made in the first post, you can pay the fee at the end of your contract or choose to go to another carrier. If you damage your phone and need a replacement, you pay the insurance fee or you buy the phone out right. Which by the way, is more than the upgrade fee you will have to pay. But, if you weren't so busy trying to dissect my posts and try to make yourself seem so much more intelligent. There was no need to read more into what I wrote.

I am one of what people? Say something if you need to otherwise maybe you should go away! I am not trying to disrespect anyones post I am just saying what is on my mind and if you don't like it maybe you need to change the channel and again I ask what kind of people are you referring to? I am sorry I can think for myself and I am sorry if I talked over your head was not trying to. Just having a logical conversation as this site is for debate and discussion otherwise what is the point other than news and if someone is so easily offended maybe this is not the place for you.

Lol I'm fine with the debate. I'm glad you can think for yourself, I would hate to think otherwise. No harm intended on part towards you. Just felt like I had to repeat myself, when I thought I clearly made point

If I didn't, then I apologize for not making it more clear.
