Multiply the $36.00 upgrade fee enough times and Ralph De La Vega can purchase a first class ticket to Havana and stay there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not with my money lol!! If I were an att customer I would just opt out and go to another carrier. Coverage is pretty good across the board and if you can find another carrier that gives you the services you need in the areas that you need I say Set the GPS and get there!

You, lets all leave for VZW so when you want to monitor your data usage they will hit you up for $3.99 per line. Or a company that all it does is whine and wants basically no bid contracts on spectrum, so they don't have to bid against AT&T and VZW? And which also has a similar upgrade fee. BTW, TMO has one too. I'm no fan and think their excuse is BS, but, not going to leave over $18 q2ys.

Well why are you here posting then. We get it you won't leave over a $18 fee but I will. IF it was a service I needed then I would complain and if they didn't make a break for me then peace out I would go some place else heck even go prepaid maybe but then again that's me.....Also a big difference is this a fee that you can't get around and the $3.99 per line at Verizon for usage control is not something they force on you it is a feature.... Not that I think that 4.99 is a great value but then again do I need it nope!!(by the way it is $4.99 per line not $3.99) Do I need to upgrade yes I do. So in conclusion you are not arguing about the same thing.

So because his opionions isn't inline with yours he shouldn't post? What more did you add to the matter then he did? None. You simply tryed to prove his opionion ( that you questioned the validity of stating such an opionion) wrong.

Pretty much every carrier charges an upgrade fee, someone said Verizon doesn't, but I bet they did at one time..or that they will soon if they didn't have one in the past I know sprint and T-Mobile both charge and upgrade fee, as do most of the smaller, local carriers.....if you don't want to pay an upgrade fee your options are:

1. Throw a temper tantrum during the upgrade in the hopes that they will waive it for you (works about 90% of the time)

2. Go prepaid

3. Buy all your phones at no contract price and never sign a contract

thats a great option, but if you are concerned about an additional $18 upgrade fee, paying $300 or $400 extra for you phone is probably not a better option

I don't people who object to the upgrade fee generally do so because because they can't afford to pay it, they object to it because it's a hidden fee that they usually don't learn about until the month after they do their upgrade when they get their monthly bill.
