They don't even want to run a cellular company here in the US anymore so I really don't see a point to your argument also Verizon has a very solid 3g network and So far really decent 4g network and they are building their network out everyday so I entirely miss your point. Verizon is actually building a network so your post is a complete miss fire. Anyone else agree or disagree?
I agree that T-Mobile might have skipped out on it thinking why invest in spectrum if they're just gonna sell to AT&T, but that doesn't mean that other, smaller, regional carriers and local carriers couldn't have used bits and pieces of that spectrum.
