It's a dream that RIM is having. They are thinking that their store will even come close in competition to what is offered in the App store, Android Marketplace, or windows marketplace. Yep, they are dreaming.

Do you own a Playbook? I do. I am eagerly awaiting 2.0 and ANY Android apps will be a welcome addition.

For now at least, us poor blackberry users will have to made do with only a couple of fart apps vs. at least 200 in the app store 😉

The idea that the sole metric one should use to measure the quality of an app store is the number of apps is best described as 'naive'....

The number of apps in the Apple and Android stores are grossly inflated due to the fact that things like e-books, wallpaper and themes are counted as 'apps' are counted as 'apps' and many apps are double counted if they are available in a 'lite' version, and God only knows how many different versions of 'Angry Birds' are out there now...and many of the apps duplicate the functionality of other apps.....I mean...exactly how many weather apps does anyone really need

I've never had any difficulty finding an app that did what I needed in Blackberry App World, it is quite true that I do not have access ...

Do you own a Playbook or are you talking about Apps for your Blackberry smartphone? As much as I despise the trolls who post for no other reason than to disrespect Blackberry, it is not the same thing. The Playbook does need more Apps especially Skype, but considering what I paid for mine...I am willing to wait for 2.0 and see how it goes.

I own a Playbook......I've never looked for Skype for it just because I have Skype on so many other things it seemed unnecessary
