Times do change... there is some value in controlling the user experience

Google could stand to control it a little, liek they seem to be doing lately

Apple takes controlling the user experience to a whole other extreme... this comes with some benefits and some costs to the user

Sacrificing the very important functionality that the MENU button offers to benefit some kind of "cool form factor" is a bad decision IMHO.

If you read the review of the Galaxy Nexus running ICS on this site, you'll see how Google might have lost sight of what is important to the useability of these devices.

One thing I HATE about the iPhone and IOS is the Lack of a MENU function for several tasks and apps.

The menu button is a part of the software... no need for a physical button... not sure what you're talking about
