Seriously, I was thinking the same thing. This feels like one of those April Fools Day pranks they pull every year.

I don't recall that the US ever interjected itself into such issues when only EU companies were involved. I think it's high time for the US to stand up to those presumptuous EU regulators and show them the middle finger in such cases. If they then try to retaliate, we can play the same game with them, too. Unfortunately though, our politicians don't have the backbone to do that.
