ITC Gives Motorola Preliminary Win Over Apple

It's not actually about trying to get Apple products banned, it's about trying to gain leverage to use to force Apple to stop with these nonsensical lawsuits. The strategy is simple: get some victories and court orders to ban Apple products, then go to Apple and say 'you want to be allowed to sell the iPhone again? Drop your lawsuits against Android and we'll drop our lawsuits against you.'

Ultimately it's a negotiating tactic, and Motorola, HTC, Samsung, Google and other Android OEM's have no choice but to play hardball because Apple has said they aren't interested in settling because their goal is nothing less than the total destruction of Android.
