RIM Upgrades BlackBerry 7200 Series
My corporate Cingular rep told me about this last week...

...but if you go posting "hearsay" up here, you get flamed most of the time. Anyway, this Blackberry is a DONE DEAL and will be carried by Cingular before the year is over (according to said rep).
Now if this thing had EDGE, it would be killer!! 😳

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it... 😉
The 7100 has the same QWERTY layout as a "full" keyboard, and in practice you can type on it exactly the same way. That's the big innovation of that keyboard design.
Yes, it has something like iTAP - RIM calls it SureType. But it works much better than iTAP, because there are only two letters per key, so it can guess the words correctly much more often, plus it's adaptive.
I've tried it, and I would definitely consider it a viable option.
