Storage?

Does the microSD card also provide storage, or is it simply meant to house the NFC unit? I find the idea interesting, but swapping out my card evry time I want to make a payment is not nearly as convenient as just using my debit card.

thats a really good question. It would be far far less useful if it had no actual storage, but I'm thinking with how advanced we are with miniturized electronics, we can probably make one that doubles as NFC + actual SD storage. Even 8 GB would be good enough for most people.

A lot of high-end phones have large (16 GB) internal storage, plus a memory card slot.

Right, but the newer high end phones will most likely have NFC on board already. For lower end phones it would be useless.

Yes, for some of us that already have High end phones without NFC this is Gold. Now I dont have to buy a new phone sooner just to get NFC. This is not useless for low end phones contrary you dont have to shell out $200-$300 just to have NFC. 🙂
